  5. Wow, fireworks! That's awesome, Doreensfree, thank you. 💙 - and thanks to you as well, Johnny5! This gesture has made me feel welcome here on a new level. I appreciate the encouragement from you all. We understand what we're going through in this community.
  6. Four weeks ago tonight I inhaled my last breaths of nicotine. 1 month quit and feeling good about it, overall. I get that itch about once a day, but I can quickly nullify it by remembering how it felt to be an addict... regularly needing to interrupt my life to get my nicotine fix... I remember all the unpleasant effects of the addiction and it provides me fortitude.
  7. Hi, I was a member of QSMB back more than a decade ago and with my quit birthday this week I decided to see if a replacement of the board exists. Not only that it does, but I also see many familiar faces. Glad to see that the forum has found a new place and that more and more people are jumping on the quit train. I quit cold turkey 11 years ago and have not been back to it. My life has changed so much for the positive that if I look back at it now, of all the things that I have done, all the achievemnets, I would say that quitting smoking has been one if not the most significant, positive changes I have ever done for myself. Love and peace to all!
  8. Thank you QuittingGirl! I've relapsed a few times around the 2 month mark... but I'm feeling resolved this time. 💪

Hi Jane, Congratulations on day 23 of your Quit. I'm curious, if it wasn't a smoke, what was it you were craving? The boiled sweet? It warmed my heart to read you were appreciating the smells. Isn't it nice how our senses clear up after a few days of being free from that pungent smoke? If you don't like what the scale says you should probably get some exercise! Your fellow Ex-Smoker
  10. The Sarge remembers The Other Place ... circa 2011. Still quit. Still EZPZ.
  11. I am a 2014 quitter from QSMB too so it is great to hear from you. Thanks for chiming in @Leander and I am glad you are smoke free and doing well.
  12. Hello @Leander.. Thank you for coming back to check in with us. It is always very encouraging when someone comes back after having quit for a long period of time to let us know about the positive impact stopping smoking has had on their lives. Love and peace to you as well! Regards, Gene
