Reading all these comments… ..role model -ha ha for walk of shame holding last nights ‘hope you did something special….yeah like stay out of jail… inspiration….to stay in school awesome….you can type with two fingers still the original egg, bad girl gone good in the group, lovely thing this board, we can all turn around our lives and become responsible adults. Nancy is proof even bat shit crazy, felons with sex perversions and drinking irresponsible behavior backgrounds, that dabble in bondage games and boating can quit smoking and maintain all her otherwise socially awkward friends and behaviors. congratulation (and I am keeping the panties)

Thank so much, everyone! I have had a wonderful day with friends and family...but did not even realize until I opened QT that it was my anniversary! After smoking for 40 years, I knew there would be health benefits to quitting smoking (after I really understood that the only way smoking relieves stress is because the addiction is fed), and I enjoy those everyday. What is a totally unexpected benefit are lifetime friends that I have made on this board and QSMB....we mourn the ones we have lost, jwg. Jillar. and many others. And we celebrate that we all have chosen to improve our health an lengthen our lives! Thank you for the celebration and Yay for all of us quitters! And very special thanks, to dearest of friends, Doreen!! One day we are going to meet in person!!

Thank you Johnny for lighting a fire in memory of our beautiful jwg … He was such a inspiration in my early quit This post made me cry openly when I first read it … it still had the same effect on me today … We miss you I throw all the cigarettes I haven’t smoked since our paths met , just short of 12 years My thoughts and prayers are with all caught up in these terrible floods

This past 4th of July, there was a terrible flood along the Guadalupe River in Texas. It is a tragedy and the river name made me think of jwg's Guadalupe River post from years ago. I was just contacted by an old friend from the early days of my quit and she said the tragedy made me think of jwg's post as well. She requested a bonfire to be done in his memory which I thought was a great idea. Below is one of the most beautiful and sad quit posts around... And, in jwg's memory, I throw over 10 years of unsmoked cigarettes into the bonfire. Feel free to throw your unsmoked cigarettes in as well.
