Hi @stzr500 I am very glad you came back here. I know the withdrawal symptoms from any form of nicotine whether it be cigs or vaping is horrible. Vaping is even worse than cigs. A read an article in the NY Post last week about a 22 year old woman who vaped a lot and developed lung cancer and has been told that she has about 18 months left to live. https://nypost.com/2026/04/20/health/uk-woman-blames-vaping-habit-for-lung-cancer-diagnosis-at-just-22-years-old-and-she-has-just-months-to-live/
One thing that we all can promise you is the withdrawal symptoms will go away. The longer you stay quit, the faster the symptoms will go away. What helped me in the beginning months, I would take a cinnamon stick and pretend that I was smoking, inhaling air, and blowing pretend air out. It really helped and it tasted quite nice. If you don't like cinnamon you can use cut up straws. Another piece of advice is stay close to this board, come on as much as you can because I truly believe the support here is what got me through it. The first time I quit, I used Chantix but didn't know about this community. I stayed quit for 6 years but then went back. I really believe that if I found this board back then, I wouldn't have gone back.
You got great advice from everyone else so please stick around!
