Welcome @lsw150 to QuitTrain and congratulations on a great quit. It is great to have you here.

Yeah, nicotine is a hell of a drug. It is best to get it out of your system and keep it out. When I vaped, prior to quitting, I think I was actually consuming more nicotine and taking more puffs than with regular cigarettes. I think not smelling like an ashtray gave me a false sense of security but I would get sharp headaches on occasion when vaping that I did not usually get from regular cigarettes. There are likely a lot of health issues that have not been discovered yet from vaping. You've done this before, though. Time to put nicotine behind you once and for all. You can do this. **Also, I second what @Reciprocity said. The NOPE page can be helpful if you think you may be interested. Just pledge to make it through the day without taking a puff and worry about tomorrow when tomorrow comes.

@stzr500, I forgot to mention The Daily NOPE Pledge thread. Some people find it helpful to renew their commitment to quit & stay quit by posting NOPE (Not One Puff Ever) in this thread. The idea is that you're just committing not to smoke for one day; today! Often when we think of quitting we look too far ahead and it all seems overwhelming but if we take smaller bites, such as just one day, it seems more doable. Just wanted you to know that thread was there in case that's of interest to you.

Vaping has often been promoted as the 'safer way to get nicotine into your body' but truth is, vaping hasn't been around long enough for long term studies to show the possible harm it does to the human body. As far as I'm concerned, anything but fresh air that we beath into our lungs has a potential to harm us. Even fresh air these days is getting harder and harder to find, depending on where one lives which adds more wehight to not introduce anything else to our lungs that may have a negative effect. There's a section on this forum with threads about vaping. Perhaps you could read those as a source of infomation? https://www.quittrain.com/forum/18-vaping-juuling-unquestionable-addiction-reckless-aftermath/
