December 18, 201411 yr Seriously, how many you got? I don't get grey, I get bright silvers and whites. Just recently, I've noticed I've got a lot now. My son has had a couple since he was 8, but he's got really dark brown hair, almost black, so it's more noticeable. I went to see my hair stylist this past Saturday for a cut and color, 3 months since my last visit. I was astonished to notice how many I had. Stylist seems to think it's normal for my age, but I am not liking this. Make it go away!!!! Sometimes wish I were a guy and could just shave it all off and get away with it. Think I'll be going more often then every three months. Commence the search for a second job just to pay for the hair :) Wait..or should I just shave it and buy wigs??? :cray:
December 18, 201411 yr I always had very long hair, wore it In a bun ( think librarian). All dark brown. Cut it a year ago to shoulder length and whoops, hello silver streaks for the center part! I like it though! But it is a big change.

I once had really short hair and said never again, needless to say anytime the stylist says you need 1/2 an inch off, it seems like a mile.
December 18, 201411 yr Author I still look 21 :) With hair down to your butt? Do you brush it 100 times a day still?
December 18, 201411 yr Yeah gray/white/silver hair sucks, the older I get the scarier I look, Right now I wear my hair like "Carol" from The Walking Dead",that way the gray isn't so sad. If you don't want to dye it then find a cool wig-that would be hot.
December 18, 201411 yr Author Ginger, you could always wear your diaper wig :P Thanks, but like the Ginger color...it just wouldn't be the same. My name would change to diaper head, Ginger sounds much better. I'm sure you understand :)
December 18, 201411 yr I love grey hair, on both men and women! It's still shocking to find it scattered in my own hair though. :)
December 18, 201411 yr Author I love grey hair, on both men and women! It's still shocking to find it scattered in my own hair though. :) Grey hair on men makes them look distinguished and I like that, but I have a hard time feel comfortable in my own greys or silvers as they may be. I still consider 30 as old, yet I've sailed right on past that almost 10 years ago lol
December 18, 201411 yr When I was 50 a good friend of mine was 40. She had 2 little kids, 4 and 6 years old, and we all participated in a neighborhood pumpkin carving contest. One of the neighbors asked my friend, "Are you the mother of these cute kids?" My friend said, "Yes." and they chatted for a few minutes. Then the neighbor turned to me and said, "So you must be the grandmother." The next day I dyed my hair for the first time. I've been dying it ever since. I don't like looking older than I feel.
December 18, 201411 yr Yes I have some white and silver in the front. I dye it so they aren't around long.
December 18, 201411 yr I call them blondes. Men may look distinguished but still don't like a younger man calling us old. Hard for top dog to have pups bite at heals But I really hate men dyeing hair. I will say it out front to them. "Combing in that color or just no stress ever in your life"
December 18, 201411 yr Lots of grey, doesn't bother me a jot. My dad was pure silver by 40, so I have a reasonable idea where genetics are taking me...
December 18, 201411 yr I'm traumatised by the whole thing too, my hair is naturally really dark brown so obvious.... Mine go pure white, look like frikkin morticia adams or gizmo with the wonderful genetic streak of white down the middle!! And don't get me started on them arriving other places :o
December 18, 201411 yr I occasionally get a silver in my beard, and Tasha plucks it out sharpish! The one good thing about being bald... not as much hair to go grey! I'm still not sure I believe that Colleen gets and grey/silver/shite hairs looking at her picture

I'd show a pic of my silver's, they are SCARY. I just got my hair colored by the way :)
December 19, 201411 yr Honey, you can dye your hair. You just wait until you run out of estrogen. Hormones are magic
