So I recently joined another forum.  Now it's not a support forum such as this one but more for sharing/learning about a hobby/craft.  First, I couldn't read any of the posts as only members could.  I had to wait over a week for someone to approve my membership so I could actually get on and read it.  When I was approved, I got an email saying something like..."if you do not remain active, share, post pics, etc then your account will be deleted."    (Thought that was weird.)

 

So I went through and read everything that I was trying to learn about.  Finally took some pics and posted some questions that I had.  (Didn't want my account to be deleted!!)  While the answers have been somewhat helpful, the only two people who have answered any of the questions that I have posted are the 2 moderators of the board.  Also, I usually have to wait 24-48 hours for any kind of response. 

 

Having the QT as my first forum may have spoiled me a bit.  I am used to some kind of response for a normal post within a short period of time.  When someone asks a question, so many people step forward to give an opinion and try to help...not just the moderators.  You never have to wait 24 hours for some type of answer.  If you post an SOS, you will receive a reply within minutes, as the moderators and many other members have this thread sent to their phones. 

 

Well, I guess I am just trying to say "thanks!"  Thank you all for being so supportive and for being such a wonderful group of people.  You guys are awesome.

Wow, I wouldn't last a week there. I do have to laugh about the strict rules some of these sites have now a days. It's a craft forum not  a frickin exclusive membership site.. lol

yikes, slow and intense...learn what you need to and get out lol.  Sounds a bit twilight zone like to me?!
