  • Congratulations to you all boo, and thank you for sharing it all with us. Ten pounds?! That's a big boy! 🙂

The little, big man sounds a lot like me, a good meal, passing some air one way or the other, a good cuddle and some sleep.  What could be better?  Who knew we all learned the lesson of a good life as newborns that would see us all the way to old age.

A full belly, some good sleep, and the occasional passing of gas and the little dude is good to go.

Jackson seems to understand that the simple life is a good life.  I hope he never loses that.

Mister Jackson has a favorite hobby: stretching.  The little fella loves a good stretch.

So far, that's the big difference we've noticed between Jackson and Maddie.  Maddie liked to be held.  When we went to put her down for a nap it was a delicate process.  If she woke up and found that you were trying to lay her down, she would voice her displeasure quickly.  Jackson, on the other hand, enjoys his time in the crib.  He's fine with being held, but really enjoys stretching out in his bed.

Jackson is so easy-going I'm convinced that he might be the most low maintenance newborn in the history of the world.

Boy did you luck out boo, sure makes having two under two easier I bet huh?! 😊

We've got a laid-back newborn and a toddler that has turned into our little helper.  Maddie keeps a close eye on Jackson.

Me and Sugar Britches are in charge of feedings, diaper changes, and baths.  The rest is just middle management work.

that sounds awesome Boo.  makes me remember how much I miss those days of my kids being young'uns.  may God continue to heap those blessings upon you and your family.

The little man is starting to find his voice.  Jackson has been making cooing noises here and there for a few days.  All of a sudden, on Saturday morning he woke up ready to talk.  It sounds like he's saying "I good."  To which I concur: "Yes you are little buddy."

Mister Jackson is moving a lot more now as well.  He still gets plenty of rest, but when he's awake he kicks his legs around and moves his arms a lot.  Maddie pointed at him kicking his legs and said "swim."  I guess the little gal is ready to give the new guy swim lessons now.

I dunno, reckon I'd worried that he's just playing the long game, lulling you into a false sense of security then ......BAM...... teenager from hell.... yes that's my evil laugh floating across the pacific...mwahahaha.

Last night marked one of those milestones that a parent never forgets.  Jackson flashed his little smile for the first time.  I heard Sugar Britches practically squealing with delight, he smiled at her first.  The little fella knows how to work the room so he kept smiling.  Ever seen a baby do a full-body smile?  It's the cutest thing you'll ever see.  He got to smiling so big that his eyes squinted closed and he pulled his legs up to his stomach.

Jackson's hair has also taken a growing spell.  His hair is still short on the sides but it's getting curly on top.  He's working on a hairstyle that looks like a 1950s rockabilly singer.  Might get him a guitar and take him out on the road as part of a Duane Eddy or Gene Vincent tribute band.

Papa Boo is jealous of Jackson's fashion options.  It is getting hot here.  Jackson has these little short pants overalls that he wears with no shirt underneath.  He's getting much better ventilation with his clothes than I am, but I'm not even close to being cute enough to pull off overall shorts.

Looking forward to another night of grins and giggles at Casa de Boo.  Time to cue up that 1980s hair band song again...

Aww ..well you managed to have me drop a year again ...it brought back a beautiful memory ...

Little Jackson is coming along so fine Boo....those firsts are priceless....

I think you should keep your full pants on ...after all ..you need to keep a suprise  for sugar Britches somewhere .

Awwww….such precious moments. Relish them! 🤗

@Jillar, that is a common sight around here. At least that guy has the legs and butt for it.

Mister Jackson went in for a check-up this morning.  The boy is fit as a fiddle.  He measures just a touch over 25 inches and weighs in at 14 pounds 10 ounces...little, big boy.  The doctor was impressed by how well he holds his head up and moves to follow sounds.  Jackson always tries to track Maddie's voice when she's talking, so the little dude gets plenty of practice.

Saturday night, Sugar Britches was feeding Jackson.  I touched his face and spoke to him.  He took his little arm and pushed me away.  Can't say I blame him...never interrupt a man when he has a boob in his mouth.  He was right, I was clearly in the wrong.

Our little Prince is coming along ..everything is as it should be ...getting bigger by the day 💙.

Happy Birthday Jackson!  Three months-old today.

The little man is a real charmer.  His smile lights up the room.  If you make eye contact and talk to Jackson you will be met with a big smile and an attempt at conversation.  He's a friendly little fella and cute as can be.

Jackson has taught me a valuable lesson in his three months here.  I worried about splitting time between two children when Maddie was the only child for almost two years.  No worries.  What the two of them have taught me is: I have an infinite reserve of love for Jackson and Maddie.  It's not a matter of dividing the love, there is simply more love to go around.

Enjoy your big day little man.

Aww happy 3 months to our little Prince ...

Boo....each child is a precious gift ...and you will love them equally .....

Maddie and Jackson are so lucky to have a loving Mum and Dad ....

You wil have such wonderful times together ❤️🐸

I announced a little while back that Jackson had started smiling.  Now, the boy has started laughing.  He's been chuckling here-and-there for a couple of days, but yesterday he turned into a little giggle box.

Maddie has a toy dinosaur.  She will sneak up on you, hold the dinosaur up and say "ROAR!"  The little gal is quite the prankster.  Jackson was sitting in his bouncer and Maddie would come up behind him and show him the dinosaur.  Jackson laughed at Maddie's prank...every single time.

Watching those two play and laugh with each other was one of the happiest moments of my life.
