January 6, 20215 yr Way to go Jeff. Changing your daily routines will help you get past some cravings and urges. Keep it up.
January 7, 20215 yr Hi @ItsDeb, we were just thinking about you and hope you're feeling better today 😊
January 7, 20215 yr Author Aw thanks, Jillar! I am feeling tons better today. Doctor said I had exacerbated COPD. Gave me a shot in the butt and 5 days of prednisone and an antibiotic. Breathing much better and less wheeze and cough. Looking forward to that improving over the next few days. I'm still a non smoker! Day 7!! Still getting regular cravings but shifting thought process and tasks and moving thru them.
January 7, 20215 yr Hi Deb, I'm glad you're feeling better already. Congratulations on a week quit, you too @JH63, you guys got this! 😊
January 7, 20215 yr Quitting will stop the acceleration of C.O.P.D.... Best thing you can do for your health Deb's .... Jab in the butt.......Ouch !!!!!
January 7, 20215 yr Author Good thing my butt has plenty of cushion 😁 I'm definitely looking forward to less COPD issues. I just hate it's taken me this long to get to this point. But NOPE it is!
January 7, 20215 yr Welcome aboard Deb. hope you feel better and the doctor is a good idea if you get feeling worse. It`s tough but will be well worth it. I smoked just about as long as you have and you still see a lot of improvement. hang in there. best wishes.
January 7, 20215 yr That's Great News! I'm glad to hear you are feeling better! I somewhat understand what you are going through. My wife has had chronic bronchitis for about eight years (OPD). She uses an inhaler daily. When she gets really sick, she also has to take antibiotics and prednisone. Several times she has been given so much prednisone that she gets real puffed up and it can take months for her to get back to normal. She has never smoked, the doctors tell her that her attacks are triggered by allergies. Mostly certain types of mold. It's rough at times. Well, it's day seven for us. We can do this! Jeff
January 8, 20215 yr Way to go Jeff and Deb. You got through hell week. Reward yourself for a job well done.
