  5. I still can't find you on my fitness pal. Anyway, Kudo's to you. As I said in my own thread, I'm down 30lbs in the last 4 months when I started this! I feel better, can't really tell looking at me (at least I can't) that I've lost weight, but I can tell in other ways. You can do this!
  6. Well I am officially down 30lbs and I saw the doctor today. He took me off the pre-diabetic medication I was on! YEAH!!!!! I'm so thrilled. I'm going to get into my closet this weekend and see if I can fit into my old clothes. He wants to continue to monitor my A1C, so I go get blood work done in 3 months, but other than that he was extremely pleased with my progress. Happy day!!! Thanks Guys!
  7. I gave up creamer in my coffee. I know I was using probably 200 calories just for that in the mornings, so I know how you feel Julie! I don't have a fitbit (yet) but I use MyFitnessPal for tracking my calories. We quit smoking! We can do this too darnit!
  8. ah but you see, it does get better. I'm sitting here as an ex smoker and I don't get cravings any more. I occasionally think about a smoke, or more like, I used to smoke, but that is about it. IT will get better. It will get easier. Just hang tuff and don't smoke. Go do something/anything else to take your mind off of it.
  9. Thanks Scott. I appreciate the feed back. I might look into a trainer. Not a 100% sure how it works. We have free membership here at work to a gym, but I don't know if they have trainers or not. I have a long way to go, but I'll get there! I haven't given up anything, I am just watching my calories counts. I'll try this for a few months and see how it does. I don't want to go with fad diets or pills, so we shall learn as we go.
  10. I wish mapmywalk or mapmyfitness was a bit more accurate. All I know is that I'm walking about a mile 2 times a day and about a half mile 2 times a day. And its not killing me! Yeah!!!
  11. 2 more lbs down this month, but I have not been staying at or below my calorie goal. I need to get better at that and work harder on it. I'm also finding that I want to rush it. I want to be smaller right now and I have to keep reminding myself that I sure didn't get this big all at one time, so it sure isn't going to come off all at one time either. I'm still walking along though so its all good! Thanks for the support. This place really is the best!
