  2. I posted yesterday about the fact it was as simple as saying NO. Well after that I think the addiction came along and said okayyyy, lets try that out and see how it feels for ya. I had wave after wave of craves, it actually made my head and body hurt, I cooked, I scrubbed I cried, I stamped my feet, and still the craves came until I felt physically sick, I didn't post an SOS, I have so much stress going on at the minute, medication is being changed, feeling very sorry for myself, but there are so many more out there worse out than me, so I stood up straight, kicked myself in the butt, and roared NOOOOO at the top of my lungs and burst out laughing I must of looked insane, but it worked, I struggled but I coped. xx
  3. FAB keep going, keep believing and keep NOPING xxx
  4. Louder if you need to Michelle shout it out from the top of your lungs :D xx
  5. Hell week is over and the reason why you quit, there are thousands and thousands of them but the one that stands out the most is , YOU, you are the most important reason to quit. Be stronger than the addiction you owe it to youself, all that you are feeling is an emotion, it will pass, work through it be strong and be determined you are doing amazing. xx
  6. When we quit smoking and we take back control of our lives we have the power inside ourselves to be able to deal with the craves, the triggers, the addiction, we can make our quit as hard or as easy as we want, the decision is ours. NO one tiny little word, NO holds so much power. Remember growing up, and your parents told you no, you listened didn't you, you soon learnt not to do whatever it was you were doing again. That's all we need to do whenever a crave gets to us, whenever a trigger overwhelms, whenever the addiction gets back insider our head, one tiny little word is all it will take to turn all of it around NO. When you break it down into simple terms and see that word in black and white NO gives me that little bit more power inside. So next time a crave, or trigger comes along just tell yourself NO.l

  17. Hi Toni and welcome on board the QT and congratulations on your decision to quit, really looking forward to sharing your journey. I love the fact that you bought yourself a lovely Grandfather clock and the chimes at 15 minute intervals are a wonderful reminder of how well you are doing. I suffer from IBS so bloating and gas is a common occurance without addiding the withdrawal from nicotine lol, but think of all the abuse your body has suffered for years its going to take a while for your body, mind and soul to re-adjust, we are all here to help and support you xx

  19. You are doing amazing and each step forward is one you no longer have to repeat and makes you stronger in your quit. the addiction will keep talking to you, I have these conversations all the time, but I just make sure that my voice is louder than the addiction itself, it will gradually fade away. Just never allow the addiction to take over. xx
  20. Hi and welcome on board the QT, your journey sounds very much like mine, we need to be stronger than the addiction Star, you can and you will do this, looking forward to sharing your journey with you xx
  21. Argggh and I thought I might be first NOPE
  22. Hi, the addiction can be loud, I've learnt over the last year and two relapses to be louder than the addiction, to want to really succeed at this, to realise that the cravings are going to happen because I inflicted this on myself and I need to face up to them, be stronger than the addiction, you literally have a one to one conversation with the addiction but you can and you will overcome if you have the will to succeed., Also I don't want to die.... its simple really NOT ONE PUFF EVER, and you are doing absolutely fantastic, always remember to give yourself a pat on the back, and celebrate each step you take, because do you know why, you deserve to xxx

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
