  1. Well it has been 6 months and I am still going strong. I haven't had a crave or urge in a while. I am still climbing. Each day is easier and easier. Most days I don't even think about it. I just wanted to let you guys know how I am doing. Nana
  2. You do it in whatever fashion you can. If you can only handle a minute at a time do that. If an hour doesn't seem that far do that. Just breathe, stay close to the board, and reach out if you need any help. We are here if you need us. Also don't forget to post an S.O.S. if you feel like you are going to relapse. Remember post and wait for at least 2-3 replies. You got this!!!
  3. Congratulations on keeping your quit safe!!!!

  5. NOPE!!!! Have a good Friday everyone!!!!
  6. That is to cute!!!!
  7. Linda, All the advice my fellow quitsters are rock solid. You need to educate yourself, but at the end of the day. whether you quit cold turkey or If it takes NRT's to get free of nicotine then so be it. For me I am 48 days quit and I used Chantix and Bupropion (basically Wellbutrin and Zyban). I am on finishing up the Chantix and still have a month or two on the Bupropion. But no matter how you get there meeting your goal is the key and your goal is to be smoke-free.
  8. I like this one I think this should definitely be in the top three... I also like this one as well.... What can I say they are all good... Because I like this one to. I am not one to decide.
  9. Linda, No hope is needed as the first week is tough for everyone. We all have to go through the tough part, but I can tell you it does get easier. I am 46 days smoke-free and I still remember those early days when all I could do was take it from minute to minute. Stay close to the boards and remember that we can help you, we want to help you, we are here for your support. You just have to let us know that you need us. If you feel like you are going to cave. Come here post an S.O.S. and wait for at least 3 replies. I know in the moment it is difficult to do. But if you keep to it up the easier

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
