Never hear of Pequa but have googled it and will try it next time. Of course my husband has been banned from the garbage disposal. My husband goes right for the snake and then the bladder he puts on the hose. 4 hours later and we finally broke through. He did run and get some draino and then used the snake again.

Well maybe that is the problem. We snaked it first but I don't think ours was a $400.00 professional snake. I would think a plumber would be less than that. So far we have water going down at a very slow pace. We are making a little headway.

Okay, I have been married to the jack of all trades for 43 years. I use to think how wonderful it was not to pay repairman. Well my husband does not know what does not go down the garbage disposal (basically nothing). He put the rind of a watermelon down it last night and tonight we have been working for two hours to get it unplugged. He has this dildo looking thing he puts on the end of the hose, feeds it in through the window and into the pipe. He has me sit there and hold it while he turns the water on. You think I would have learned from the last time that it all came blasting out on me. At this point we are not making much progress. It is too bad he doesn't have that cute little plumbers butt crack anymore. It might make the situation more bearable!!!

Richard you are doing great. You really are through the worst days. Just remember that your addiction will use any tool to make you feel like you can not live without those cigarettes. You are staying focused on the goal. I promise better days are coming.

Welcome Jan. I have tried every one of those quitting remedies and none of them worked. I was not able to quit until I found this wonderful forum. There is a lot of information, support and humor here. They guided me through the difficult days (which really is only hell week) and made me realize that wanting to quit was way more powerful than that crave. Once you get a few weeks under you belt, the rest is really changing your thinking. Quitting smoking changes you life for the better. Just stay close to the forum and call out if you need us. We are there to help you through this journey!

I love a hot soak in the tub. I hate showers. My husband always used to tease me and said it was like soaking in ones dirt. Now that he is older, I find him taking many a soak, in the evening to help those sore muscles. FunkyfunJo, that sounds like a great way to relax from the stresses of quitting. Wish I had thought of it. You are doing great. Wasn't it Tony Randall (the actor) that had a child in his 80's. A man is never too young to reporduce😮.

That is very true FunkyfunJo. You truly have to want to stop smoking. The addiction tries very hard to draw you back in. Being in the right mindset and knowing what you want gives you the power to beat the addiction. How I wish I realized I had that power sooner than I did. I am just thankful I finally had success.

I finally found this for my mom and dad. I was getting so tired of shopping for both of us. Have you seen the new ad by Walmart. They will deliver and put your groceries away, while you are not home. (Creepy).

I can't tell you how many times I thought I could sneak into a bathroom and have a cigarette and nobody would notice. Exhaling into a paper bag. How silly, everyone know a plastic one would have been better.😂
