  1. Congrats TobacNo! I hope you truly commit to the quit! There is no feeling like the FREEDOM you get from a good, educated quit. I have no experience with NRT but there are plenty here who do and lots of other info as well. A change in mindset early on will help the process...so please read about nicotine addiction and remember if you do it right, you only have to do it once! Well wishes TobacNo! Let us know how you are doing!
  2. (Getting my pimp slap ready)
  3. Agree!!... ...to disagree!!?
  4. Yes, the rig is similar...there are coils inside that super heat the wax (this stuff literally looks like earwax) to "vapor" It's concentrated THC so I can imagine we will begin to see our first marijuana addicts even "overdoses" from using this way.
  5. Yea Parsley!! That's how quitting is supposed to feel...FREEDOM! Congrats! Ah! I lose my best tupperware that way...I don't even open the lid. Trash? I just wanted to say THANKs for the b-day wishes! I had a great time...my 8yr wedding anniversary was yesterday AND husband and daughter share a bday tomorrow? somethings are just too sweet...
  6. Hey Matt! What a great day to quit! I hope you feel excited to finally be free from nicotine addiction! Make plan to get thru the next few days; I made a quit list (it's still on my fridge to this day) Quitting doesn't have to be sad or hard...if you educate yourself you will find that you are not powerless in your addiction; you have all the power, mindset, willpower, education...like a warrior to battle; line your armor, sharpen your sword and battle on!
  7. The only way to quit smoking is to stop putting cigarettes in your mouth. Remember to celebrate! Try new things! Do "it" often ^^
  8. Congratulations for taking your life back NiK!! You recieved good advice already...read, learn and get to know nicotine addiction; knowledge is power!! Stick around and we can help cheer you along and give you tips and tricks along the way.

Just a dream tho? Then no problem ML! Just dying memories is all... An educated quit makes all the difference, and I think you're doing great! Here, let's have some of my birthday pancakes to celebrate!

You gave me goosebumps!! This is how you quit!!
  16. Nope, I agree, big shit/little shit... all stinks. (Please stop shitting in the house Jo or you have to go outside?) I hate that they are creating a whole new addict...someone that would never pick up a cigarette might just try "very cherry" nicotine thru a "sleek" e-device. Its like we do not remember history... My dad too, he was a never smoker that read about it,and got one for my mom to use to quit smoking. She didn't like it so he started using it...constantly. I just hate it. I know any effort to "control this epidemic" is just a smoke screen. We've seen it before...big tabacco is a one trick pony, no matter how many costumes they wear.
  17. https://www.yahoo.com/news/fda-gives-e-cigarette-makers-183914968.html It's a start...I watched 2 young boys walk down my block passing a vape thing between them...huge clouds of white following them. Very sad...prob stole it from their parents and filled it with nicotine that taste like candy.

Congrats MLMR!! 3 weeks down! Party time!!
  19. He was just out for a morning walk, also headed to the neighbors so no problem! I have a rule that outside spiders get to live but if they come inside...

    Man...I knoe THAT feeling??
  21. I don't think how many times matters because it's HOW you quit that makes the difference. You can quit a hundred times by yelling "I QUIT!" and then "don't buy any more" aka smoke everyone else's...or providing yourself excuses "only when drinking", "only with my coffee", "only,only,...." But, this is not quit. The quit that matters is the educated quit; the quit that understands that "one=all", "Always Vigilant" and of course N.O.P.E.
  22. I don't want to sound cocky but I,too, knew the minute I put out my last cigarette. Then, again, around the 4 month mark, I told jillar that I'd see her on the lido deck?

These are from my Cruise Book documenting our OEF deployment. I was part of the first ARG out after Bush declared war. I will never forget...
