The thing I'm most curious about...they had me place a fraud alert with the credit bureaus. I wonder how difficult it will be to use my credit cards, particularly Amazon. They also told me to file a police report, file a complaint with the FTC, contact Social Security, and of course, notify my financial institution. I had to fill out an Identity Theft Affidavit and send it with my return...we'll just see what happens!

So I find out from the IRS that someone has filed a fraudulent tax return using my Social Security number. I will no doubt spend the next months jumping through hoops trying to make sure they are not trying anything else...why can't people just work for a living instead of trying to steal from those of us that do? GRRRR!
