  1. So glad you are you, again...
  2. Oh, Kristen...two weeks is fabulous...a true milestone! So very happy for you!
  3. Oh well, let's just start the party, and maybe mystery Jen will show up!
  4. I do what I can....
  5. Although I realize smoking has certainly shortened my life, I no longer dread going to the doctor or dentist. I didn't go for years...
  6. Hope that works out for you...
  7. So happy for you, Delta! One year is a huge accomplishment, I hope you are celebrating large!!
  8. Oh, and I should add that the doctor said smoking contributed to me having cataracts.
  9. Beth, I had cataract surgery on both my eyes several years ago and it was easy peasey, as Sarge would say. I was off work two days each time, and actually could have gone to work the second day after the doc took off the patch. As far as the surgery itself, they give you happy juice and then you see bright swirly colors and then it is over. (or that is how it was for me) I don't remember my numbers, but I know the Doc said I really wasn't seeing anything out of one of my eyes. My vision improved tremendously. I hope you have as easy a time and as great results as I did!
  10. Well done! Aren't you excited that you will be celebrating two weeks tomorrow instead of day one all over again?
  11. Happy Friday! NOPE!
  12. Wendy, so sorry to hear this...I wish you had tried SOS. What's done is done, glad you are starting over right away. You can do this!

    RECIPES

    It is really good....
  14. This is the recipe I am asked to bring every Thanksgiving....very easy and tastes like fresh corn...recipe can be increased or decreased as needed 4 cans white shoepeg corn (I use Green Giant short cans) Drain corn and dump in baking dish (13" x 9" for 4 or 5 cans) 4 Tablespoons Flour (1 Tablespoon per can of corn) 1 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream (1/3 cup per can of corn) Stir well Top with 1 stick of sliced butter.. Bake for 40 minutes...remove and let stand 5 minutes before serving...
  15. The instant I read the original post...I thought I knew where it would end up...lol
  16. Yes, the bad part of all of us looked for a reason to fail...it makes perfect sense. Your addiction is trying to find some scenario in which you would be justified to smoke...and the fact is, there isn't one. A crave is not a command. Going to bed early is an excellent solution...and cry into your pillow if it helps. You can do this, Karen!!
  17. Oh, he is just the right age for Elf on the Shelf!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
