  6. Holly Cow!! I can't even count that high as I only have 10 fingers & 10 toes Congrats to you @Christian99 for being quit for all those years. I know you cherish your smoke free life so be sure to celebrate in some way to mark the occasion!

  17. Great write up @Stewbum! And; congrats on making it this far. You've knocked the head off the snake so now things become more of a maintenance thing until you've gone through a whole year and battled all your triggers. What struck me about your write up was the way you are looking at things. Your view of your quit is positive; not a woe is me sort of attitude because you're depriving yourself of those smokes. That's the way to look at quitting and it's critical for a long term quit. If you're not happy about quitting, you're almost doomed to relapse at some point so keep that positive attitude and keep on truckin!

  23. Many people have smoking dreams long after quitting; sometimes even years after having quit. That's one thing I've never had ... a smoking dream; not that I sorry about that because I can imagine the thoughts you would have upon waking, still in a half-sleep daze

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
