Makes me terribly sad to see pics of the destruction of the town of Lahaina in Maui. I remember being there some years ago and it was magical! In particular, a magnificent tree in the town square. It looked to be a hundred years old or more. Now gone; all of it! The tree, the town square where people gathered. the quaint shopping district and many, many businesses. So sad 😪 It was a beautiful place with so many beautiful local people. All gone now in a day's time. As of August 1st, Canada began it's multi-stage introduction of requiring warning about the dangers of smoking on each individual cigarette. This is a first worldwide. The program will roll out over the next year or so starting with king-size cigarettes then later on to regular size cigs. In addition to the new individual warnings, there will be new warnings on packs and in packs as well. https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/cigarette-health-warnings-canada-1.6923654 I'm not clear how imported cigarettes will be handled. Haven't been able to find clarification on that. From some images I've seen, the short 2 or 3 word warnings are printed on the paper that surrounds the filter portion of the cigarettes. Not sure what is done with unfiltered cigarettes - do they even still sell unfiltered cigs? Wow! I'm so out of touch with the cigarette industry (I suppose that's a good thing?)Chicks are pretty proud of themselves I suppose? You know what they say about pride, right? It cometh before a fall ...
