  4. Evelyn sorry about your crisis. One of these days, you are going to find a quit that sticks, maybe even this one. It can be easier if you let us help you, even if it's only coming here for distractions. I hope you don't think because you have quit a lot since you've joined that you are a bother. That couldn't be farther from the truth. If there is anything individually or collectively as a group we can do to help each other quit and stay quit, then that's what we are here for. Something I like about you Evelyn, is that you never give up.
  5. Congrats Jengels! 8 months is fantabulous!!
  6. You get some sound proof walls installed. I insert a rumbling tummy.
  7. Nothing to be sorry for Nancy...Just didn't want to bring anyone down with a bad mood. Anyway, I have had some wine and am feeling better, so I may show up. Sometimes some wine and laughs can turn one's mood around :)

  10. I know I said I'd be in chat tonight, but I don't think it's a good idea. I am having an awful night and don't think I'd be much fun. That's all.

  13. It's tough not being able fix these sorts of things for our kids. I think it's great though how you are teaching her breathing exercises. Would Yoga or mediation help, do you think? My son has quite a bit of anxiety, but it manifests itself in other ways usually by avoidance behavior. I get lots of calls from the school nurse for seemingly silly things like hang nails and such.

  19. It is a bring whatever you want chat party, just bring some to share. I will be bringing a lovely vintage Cabernet in a beautiful eco-friendly box

  21. Very cool video, almost a virtual tour, yet fun and fast paced.
  22. Give it some more time Laura, your quit is just over a week old and what you are feeling is normal. You are not going mad! I don't remember how long you smoked, but you lived with cigarettes for a long time anyway, it's an adjustment period. Cigarettes have stimulants in them, it might explain feeling sluggish and unmotivated. Try doing something you couldn't do as a smoker, running-cycling-walking briskly. We can't tell you when it will get better. One thing is for sure though, if you hang on and stay committed to NOPE, it will get better and that is a promise :)
  23. Spin class this morning :) I am certain I have seen that exact view before...Mork & MIndy?
