  1. In before the end if the day - nope :)
  2. If memory serves, then your 8 month smoke-free milestone was yesterday! Congratulations! I'm sure that everyone will agree that you have done so much for us by providing this forum! Thanks for everything, I really appreciate it ;) Sorry it's a day late :(
  3. Hi Rowley, you can ask admin or any of the moderators for the password and then you can swear away to your hearts content ;) Sorry to see you smoked yesterday, but it sounds like you are taking positive steps now to quitting for good. It sounds like you already have a lot of experience with addiction, so that should all be very helpful to you for the journey too. We are here if you need us!
  4. Congratulations jimmy :)
  5. Oh Nancy, it's been 11 months! You are so close now, but let's try to enjoy this milestone first :P I wanted to tell you that I think you are the most wonderful person, so caring and always putting your friends, or even complete strangers, before yourself. I'm sure that everyone would agree that if the world had a few more Nancy's in it, it truly would be a better place :D If I am having a bad day, I need only to login and see your smiling face, and things just seem a little brighter ;) You have always been there for me, and I am blessed to have had the opportunity to meet you, and call you a true friend. I will always be here for you, no matter what. Love you lots, and I hope have a great celebration weekend - you of all people deserve this, my friend :)
  6. I have to ask... Why in the freezer?!

I tried to hug Bobbie when I got home yesterday because of this... She clawed and climbed up my chest, over my shoulder and perched on the back of my neck with her claws dug in to hold on, crying. We couldn't get her off because every time we tried, she tensed up and dug the claws in further... When she eventually jumped down, she came up to me purring like nothing had happened... Hug your bloody cat day... Never again lol.

That was 6 in as many days :)
  9. I am sure that Tracey will be snapping pictures like a mad woman ;)
  10. How could you indeed :p
  11. Based on prior posts from you, this sounds like a good thing. It might not seem like that now, but it will soon, I am sure of it. You certainly gave it a good shot, but your children's happiness is very important. ((Paula))
  12. Oh wow, Dors, 3 months already?! You are such a great character, and we are all so lucky to have met you. Your attitide and personality are second to none, and I am very happy that you have this lovely quit, because you deserve it :d Maybe you shoud have a party this weekend to celebrate?!
  13. Wow Beacon, my no-smoking cat friend, you haven't smoked for 9 months, that is 3/4 of a year!! I am so so so so proud of you, and I want to thank you personally, for being there for me every time I needed you (just like you are there for everybody else). You are just awesome, and we are very lucky to have you here with us! Love you, my friend, let's have a party
  14. Good for you. It sucks, I know, but the only way to beat it is to push through and not smoke. When you wake up tomorrow, you will be so glad that you didn't smoke!!
  15. Please tell is how you are when you can. Don't give up!!
  16. Brittany, have you got some time? Why not look hr and see how we would all respond to ourselves in this type of situation - http://www.quittrain.com/topic/259-pre-respond-to-your-own-sos/ For the record, screaming or punching someone is better than smoking (although try to avoid the punching one lol)
  17. You are strong enough, because you've already done the hardest part! It gets easier each day. You are strong enough. We've been there, we know what it's like! And don't take any crap from your innerjunkie about 'not being strong enough' or 'should have weened myself off them' or 'just one won't hurt'... You are a nicotine addict, and just one will start your withdrawal from the very beginning again. And that would be a living nightmare (quite literally)
  18. Brittany... Smoking will do nothing for you, except make you feel like crap. You think you feel bad now, you will feel 100 times worse if you smoke!
  19. Wow, you were polite Jackie... I probably would have hit him... Good job not smoking though!
  20. Please let us know how you are doing Brittany!
  21. You still have nicotine in your system... It does all leave until 72 hours. So you have a fight on your hands. But you are strong enough. Look at your responses to yesterday's SOS while you wait for the calvary... You are stronger than your addiction, I promise tomorrow will be better
