  5. Hey there Tiff.. How we doing today? Time to get a little ticker in the sig and a little presence on the boards? Plenty of people here rally want to help and support where they can - but we need to 'see' you.

    Yep DD is spot on.
  7. Hi Terrigal Welcome Aboard. Sounds like you are having quite a time of it. Lots of juice, sipping water, chewing a twig - all good stuff. It sounds to me that you are a fighter - so you can absolutely do this. Commitment. Whatever happens, DONT put things in your mouth and set fire to them. Job done. Keep us posted!
  8. JC - well done! Overcoming a crave like that is a real sign of commitment - you now know that even when it gets tough - you can win. BRILLIANT work! Team USA (and the mighty Trevor of course ;) )...much applause from across the pond. Well done. Knitting eh? I could do with a new scarf......
  9. Well, knock me down with a feather! The Aylesbury Tornado has only made it three quarters of a year. No, really. I know her girls, her fella and deep down (very deep) even Old Cranky are bursting with pride. Super-Mum, Full Time Carer and soon to be Reiki Master - Marti writes incredible supportive posts and tries to help every one of us on this board. She also writes some of the scariest rants...she and DD would, in time of war, be our secret weapon! Way to go Marti - you are an absolute star.

  11. Fantastic work. Pah! Nonsense. You get it, you join the group and we all go together - this is about us all getting that tiny bit healthier (except me and Maple Leaf...that's war  ) The really enlightening thing about these devices is the awareness that they give you. You find yourself parking a little further away. If a letter needs posting - you volunteer to walk to the post box....it really does encourage you.

  13. Hey Belle You make a very good point about the privacy thing - I am quite possibly the person in the world LEAST likely to meditate (maybe a tie with Bakon) - but I have found it really helpful to make time for five minutes "Me time" each day. I just got a little app for the iPhone. Cigs for me were punctuation. I would finish a task, have a smoke. Make a call, have a smoke. etc etc I replaced the cig with a quick walk round the block for a while.
