  9. Hiya Geri congrats on deciding to quit, that is one of the hardest things to do and yet the best thing you could ever do for yourself, massive respect for doing this, Post and read, deep breaths, treat yourself at the end of each day, relaxing baths with candles, look after you and only you for now, Pledge Nope (not one puff ever) everyday, post in the sos section if you are having a hard time, social section can help take your mind off things, Anything you need, don't hesitate to yell, we'll come running, we've all been were you are now so we know exactly how you are feeling, Looking forward to getting to know you, Sue x
  10. Ev you know you don't want to be a smoker, you don't want to go back to day 1, smoking is not an option because you are a non smoker, Can you go soak in a bath, light candles, take deep breaths and relax, meditate, go for a run, a walk or go to bed early and wake up soo proud of yourself for getting through it, just remember how fantastic you will feel when you get through this one, ontop of the world, you would be miserable if you gave in and smoked. You are doing fab hun, make sure you treat yourself to something lovely when you are over the crave because you totally deserve it xxx
  11. Thongs-flip flops huh?????? I'm almost there ;)
  12. Hope it's not fry your eggs on the ground hot, can't be doing hot coal dance over the ground, burny feet, I'll just have to stay in the pool!!!!
  13. Nice one Pip I'm on my way, I'm not fussy were I sleep, even the bath would do me ;)
  14. Yep same as Fay^^^^^^^^^ and alcohol and cig went hand in hand, Don't miss a single one of them except when I am ossified (drunk) and out with smokers, that is literally the only trigger I ever get, once in a blue moon, well because I rarely get out lol
  15. It's freezing and lashing today, most definitely a horrible day to be a smoker.

  17. It will calm a bit more but not too much, I'm a make up artist and yes make up does smell, most not too pleasant, sponges and powder brushes cause a lot of the smell as well, most people don't realise they should be washing brushes etc Mineral make up especially Jane iredale make up smells nice, no added crap, worth switching to mineral make up without a doubt x
  18. Hiya Rosie congrats on quitting, how fab is it that your lil girl won't ever remember mammy as a smoker, that alone helps keep my quit, my younger 2 don't remember I used to smoke. You need to stop thinking smoking is offering you anything good, get rid of all positive thoughts from your brain, from now on only think negative thoughts (because that's all there is) until you start believing and realising, fake it til you make it. Remember how great you feel, how much more energy and time you have for your little one, how much nicer you smell, look, breath better, Rosie you know you don't want to go back to being a smoker again, I found videos on you tube were what I needed to watch of people dying with lung cancer, mouth, throat cancer etc The one that I always went to as a shock tactic was thanks tobacco you killed my mom, a son films his mother dying from emphysema, it is totally heart breaking to watch but the fact that we have kids and it could very well have been me that my kids were sitting at the end of the bed, sobbing their hearts out, asking why i chose cigarettes over them, hearing me struggling to catch a breath and watching me die in agony, no way could I intentionally put them through that pain, thats just selfish. Pre write your own sos, post daily your Nope pledge, read all you can xxx
  19. Oh I thought they were those sticky backs as we call them, big long green things that stick to everything, kids are always chucking them all over each other and me!!!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
