Hi Just Kay , I too started smoking at eleven Hanging out with the older kids in the back alleys of Liverpool , it was the thing to do It took me until I was 62 to finally quit Thanks to the Quittrain We have a lot in common

February 3, 2013, the day I smoked my last cigarette. At eleven years old, we were stealing our parents' cigarettes. As a high school freshman (14 years old), I had a brand preference (menthol, of course) and was smoking a pack a day. Every day of my life, every event of my life was accompanied by a cigarette. Come 2013, I couldn't imagine eating a meal, celebrating, making love or crying without that cigarette there. My constant companion. Always by my side, through the good and the bad. I only got through it with the help of an online forum like this one, called Quit Net. It saved my life and saved my quit. I developed friendships that I still maintain, long after Quit Net died. Life is good without cigarettes. I see people struggling today, stinky and gray looking, living life in two-hour increments, until that time when they stand in the heat and the snow and rain and suck down their own death. I'm so glad I'm not among them! Hang in there. It gets better! But only if you don't smoke! Just Kay

February 3, 2013, is the day I smoked my last cigarette. Quitting was the hardest thing I've ever done! What got me through was QuitNet - a forum like this one. I'm seeing a lot of buzz words that were used in QuitNet so maybe this is it's offspring. Cling to this group, they will get you through. I'm so grateful to be free of this horrible addiction!
