  5. Thanks for the update @shy and I understand that you're angry at yourself that you didn't stop smoking a long time ago however you are commiting to do so now and that's what matters! When you feel like you're going to give in to a craving, I'd suggest reading your own words in your message. "I HAVE to do this now. I want a better quality of life" You do, and you deserve to! You can do it!

  9. Day 5, morning. @Reciprocity Thank you! Yes, I'm very much looking forward to waking up and not thinking about having a smoke. That will be amazing!!! @DenaliBlues That octopus is so cuuuute! Made me smile. Thank you. It will be awesome when my life isn't controlled by cigarettes. I feel like I haven't been able to enjoy all the little moments because I've been too concerned about when and where I can have my next smoke. I'm so looking forward to freedom! I'm getting there one day at a time!
  10. Congratulations Doreensfree!

  13. Congratulations, Doreen!!! I can't thank you enough for all that you do for us. You're the best of us.
  14. I am not going to smoke today. NOPE.
  15. Woo hoo… you made it to Day 4!! We used to organize our whole lives around smoking, it set the rhythm of our lives. So it’s natural to feel a little adrift at moments when we used to smoke. It gets better. You are 100% right that you can do this. Cravings are not commands, just obnoxious commercials for junk you don’t wanna buy. Good riddance, and stay strong!
  16. Happy quitting anniversary, darling @Doreensfree! Thanks for all of the encouragement, good sense and fun. You’ve helped so many of us find our freedom… and you wield that frying pan with style, lady!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
