  5. Congratulations, Doreen!!! I can't thank you enough for all that you do for us. You're the best of us.
  6. I am not going to smoke today. NOPE.
  7. Woo hoo… you made it to Day 4!! We used to organize our whole lives around smoking, it set the rhythm of our lives. So it’s natural to feel a little adrift at moments when we used to smoke. It gets better. You are 100% right that you can do this. Cravings are not commands, just obnoxious commercials for junk you don’t wanna buy. Good riddance, and stay strong!
  8. Happy quitting anniversary, darling @Doreensfree! Thanks for all of the encouragement, good sense and fun. You’ve helped so many of us find our freedom… and you wield that frying pan with style, lady!
  9. This all sounds very familiar. That's the daily fight in those early days but as you say; you can do hard things and it WILL be worth it! Won't it be amazing when suddenly you realize that you woke up and didn't even think about wanting to have a smoke? That day will come! Stay the course
  10. Hi All! Day 4 check-in. Doing ok. First thing in the morning, after meals and those weird "down time" moments are the hardest. I hear that nicodemon telling me that it sure would be nice to have a smoke, that it would be satisfying.. It would, but I won't. I would sure like to, but I won't. It would be easier to give in but that's ok, I CAN DO HARD THINGS! I sure appreciate you all and having this space to vent my feelings, Thank you.
  11. I wish I would have done this in the weeks leading up to my quit.

  16. @johnny5 Clearly I didn't do my homework when I was on QSMB! Or maybe it's just me again lol. Again @Doreensfree, Congrats!
  17. Yeah, that confused me early on too. I learned the differences in date formats on a quit smoking board similar to this one (QSMB) in the early days of my quit. Learned a lot since I quit smoking. Don't regret quitting at all. Congrats again @Doreensfree

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
