May 31, 201610 yr Expanding! I posted a new picture. I'm 16 weeks now, so the baby is about the size of a pear. I see my obstetrician on Thursday for my blood test results. Hopefully both me and the baby are okay! :)

Back in the fall, I was fishing in the Hiwassee and felt something bump against my leg. It was a snake. People asked: what kind of snake was it? How the #$%! would I know? I was too busy running and cussing to properly identify the damn thing.

In my experience, Doreen, They have not been bigger in Ohio, not one millimeter. The South is where it's at. California is OK, too but, nothing like The South. X I was watching a show on NatGeo the other night and a guy was scuba diving off the coast of Australia. He said something about "not being at the top of the food chain anymore." And as far as I'm concerned, there is not a scarier animal in existence than the saltwater crocodile. They're just bad action all the way around.
June 1, 201610 yr Oh I do have to agree with you... A 40yr old woman has just been taken by a croc...she was paddling with her friend..in water up to her thigh.. Her friend tried to pull her back...but was no match for the monster...no trace of her ... I will never go in the sea there again...sometimes having fun...makes us idiots....xx
June 1, 201610 yr saltwater crocs - EWWW! I used to swim in the SoCal Pacific ocean all the time and don't remember ever encountering any creepies. I thought I saw a shark fin once, but being near-sighted and young, I brushed it off to bad vision. I did get stung by a jelly fish in Mazatlan once, but just a little sting around the ankle. As for zip lining - it was full of bliss and a fun family day. :) It was beautiful day. The foothills are all green because we have gotten a lot of nice spring rain. If it ever warms up, it should be a nice summer. :)
June 1, 201610 yr Author Pythons (deadly) are now all over Florida. Was there a spotting of a salt water croc there too ? (an escapee from a 'pet' shop or ?) should we worry about Beacon ? Canoeing here with alligators is very cool. Ours are relatively passive and don't f k with you. Beautiful and FAST. They hang out on golf courses, too, where they could be eating people in ugly clothes. hey, Boo. How long was the raft experience, how many miles covered ? Have you rafted elsewhere ? June 1, 201610 yr hey, Boo. How long was the raft experience, how many miles covered ? Have you rafted elsewhere ? Do you kayak or canoe also in dangerous waters ? The Ocoee is a relatively short run, but the rapids are continuous. We ran the upper and middle sections so it was a half-day trip. I've rafted pretty much every whitewater river in the eastern U.S and once did the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. I do a bit of canoeing in steep creeks mostly in North Chickamauga Creek and its tributaries. As I get older and less drawn to adrenaline filled near-death experiences, I am doing a lot more flatwater paddling in a touring kayak. The Tennessee River Gorge is my favorite place for some leisurely paddling.
