March 17, 201610 yr I quit smoking on August 30th 2013 and I'm more happy now than I've ever been, I'm free! It's an odd feeling though, I often switch between these feelings: I honestly can't believe/remember that I was ever a smoker I can't believe that I actually managed to quit smoking (& so easily too!) They kinda contradict each other but that's honestly how I feel! I should also mention that my subconscious is apparently still a smoker because I STILL smoke in my dreams, it's never really the subject of the dream anymore but it's quite often in the background. The smoking dreams don't bother me, I'm just happy that my subconscious is the only place I'd ever think about smoking again. Quitting smoking definitely doesn't have to be hard (just ask Sarge - easy peasy) and it's 100% easier than living with the consequences of smoking. I don't post or visit here nearly as often as I should but just wanted to write how I feel at 2.5yrs free = Happy.
