Sorry everyone else of course were great... i just like being kicked by these two! MQ

No two better men to kick you in the butt when you need it.  I'm glad that Jonny5 & Sarge had the words to break through your addiction to get you over that hump.  :)

We never accidentally slip up and smoke.

Relapse happens because we justify smoking and then find the means to do so.

The only justification for smoking is to become a smoker, because that's what they do.

Exactly!

No one puts the cigarette in your mouth and lights it. That's all you. Take ownership of that.

Be accountable for justifying your "need" to have a cigarette.

Quitting requires some serious commitment.

You are so correct , I had a few relapses and I chose to have a smoke. That's how I felt and I justified it to myself that I had done well for a few days and 1 wouldn't hurt. I am now 2 full weeks without a single puff and so happy.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
