HEY, JOE!! How are you?

Featured Replies

How are you doing, Joe? I assume that you are home by now. Are you feeling OK and able to get around at home? Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Crying still from last week. I join him crying today. MQ and meatloaf only happy ones left.

Thanks for asking...yes I am home..taking drugs ...all in all, not entirely happy with the Doc or hospital, but the procedure is done and hopefully in the near future oxycodone won't be a part of my daily routine. ;) I am sore but from the surgery.. I am pretty confident that the laminectomy did what it is supposed to do. The nerve/ leg pain is pretty much gone already..

What's a lopadicoffme?

Were you given a 6 week recovery time? Any physical therapy along with it? I hope that the pain eases up on you soon...

I'm so glad that you are home and that your nerve/leg pain is almost gone already-- that is a very encouraging sign! Be patient and give yourself plenty of time to heal. And read some Nonsmoking Cats and Dogs posts!  :)

In terms that steeler fans understand. ;) .. A laminectomy is where the surgeon removes the "protective" bones that cover the spinal column.. This takes the pressure off the nerves and allows him a bit more room to "clean up" the discs and any bone spurs I may have had...the back muscle is sown back over it to help protect it...I will be off work for 4-to-6 weeks and start (water) therapy in 2 weeks

That is interesting Ok but now sound mine out.
