I hope my passengers in the path of the big snow and ice storm are doing ok?  Here in NYC we have so far about a foot or close to it.  It's hard to tell because there are some drifting.  I went out a couple times to shovel and my husband and son are out there now.  I hate snow so much.  It's beautiful to look at for maybe 5 minutes,  if that long, and then it's just horrible.  Actually, this has been our real big snow storm since before the Pandemic, so it's been a while for us in NYC, I guess we were overdue. Now we are getting freezing rain which is even worse than snow.  The streets by me are semi-plowed.  They came a couple times down the block but it was snowing so hard for a while that anything that was plowed filled in again with snow.  Hopefully they will come back again soon.

Couldn’t be more different in Australia. We are in a heatwave. So it’s bloody hot.!

Melbournes got the Australian open tennis on at the moment 35C or 95f. You bet it’s gunna be a bit warm on centre court.

South Australian due to get to 45C or 113 F they have canceled any large Australia Day celebrations. 
Here in Bayside Brisbane it’s to get to 34C or 93F. I have the family over but not until  1:30pm when we’ll have some shade to sit under in the yard. The sea breeze will kick in by 3:00 pm so that will make things a bit more cooler. 
We’ll be keeping an eye on the wheather in the evening we are due another storm. We had one last night 10 mm of rain which cooled things down.

Expected to get a huge ice storm here in the Raleigh, North Carolina area, where I am.  I've heard things are pretty bad out to the west of here in NC but so far, not so bad here.  

 

I do understand this storm is impacting millions of people so I wish they all stay safe.

Yeah I heard about the ice storms, they are worse than snow.  So many people are without power.  Stay safe!  I don't like very hot weather either.  My favorite season is Fall and Spring.
