September 26, 201411 yr I don't understand. What is the connection between new users and spammers? Why would a spammer bother to set up so many new usernames all at once?
September 26, 201411 yr To put links in the signatures to sell their products. They can get pretty creative. There have been several threads with these spammers trying to sell stuff but they get quickly deleted. Until we see somebody spamming the site, we assume everyone is here for the right reasons. :)

September 26, 201411 yr There really isn't because these are real people who are doing this. The only other thing we could do is have each new member be approved before they can post. If someone really needs help (there have been a few recently) I would hate to have them wait until one of us can approve them. To me, at least, having one quitter or smoker having to wait to join is worse than all these spammers posting these stupid topics. Like who is going to fall for this stuff? lol
