    ^ its not really clear... but 1933 = bodyline ashes series.... dirty poms, or as our captain said "Of two teams out here one is playing cricket" .... although the poms call it bodywhine.... hmmmm bowling at peoples heads in a time where there were no helmets????

    From what I read...it was a full-face mask to protect the skin from the sun and popular in the late 1920's...scary looking and kind of claustrophobic to me!
