October 19, 201411 yr I confess I think Bakon's sig is looking better than ever. He is one cool cat  Hmmm....a real confession. I got plenty of stories that probably should not be told in polite company. Maybe 5-6 years ago I passed out and spent the night in an alley downtown. Not one of my finest moments. I drink maybe 1-2x/year, but when I do drink, I seem to DRINK.
October 19, 201411 yr So, here is my confession. I have been lazy since being sick. I have not been to gym since Monday and only went once that day. Before that, I missed 10 days. I suck and am beyond lazy and ate terrible today. Colleen, thank you for posting this confession! I can't tell you how often I have gotten frustrated and angry with myself for letting go of good habits, particularly exercising. I go through phases where I'm exercising regularly and feeling good about it and then something happens in my life where I can't exercise for a while-- could be illness or injury or travel or whatever. Then for reasons I do not understand, it's suddenly so HARD to get myself back to my exercise routine! Why is that? I was doing so good. What the heck is the matter with me??!! The thing is, I always thought that the really strong, fit, thin exercisers had it easier than I do. They LOVE to exercise. They can't wait to get back on that treadmill every day. They NEVER have to drag themselves to the gym-- they take to it like ducks to water. Obviously, I will never be as fit and healthy as are these gym gods. But then you-- clearly a certified gym god-- come along and confess that after an enforced layoff, even you are having a hard time getting yourself re-started! Imagine that! You're human, just like me. So maybe, if you can get yourself back on track I can, too. So thank you for your confession. It's nice to know that even successful people struggle with some of the same issues I have. I'm certain that you will get back to your routine. Just take it slowly and applaud your every step in the right direction. Don't allow yourself to criticize yourself for what you DON'T do, but applaud yourself for what you DO!

July 9, 201511 yr Author Bumped because it's been a while since you naughty lot confessed :) plus newbies need to fess up :)
July 9, 201511 yr I confess... I'm phobic of wasps, yellow jackets, hornets, and therefore will flail about and run screeching at the site even if it ends up being a bee or a fly. I've also tried to get out of a moving vehicle when one flew in, and ran away from my brother while one was stinging him screaming. I clearly have issues.

Haha I am an entomophobe too I get this way when I see most insects particularly "palmetto bugs" <-- That is the southern way of saying huge aircraft carrier sized roaches that fly.

I've also tried to get out of a moving vehicle when one flew in, and ran away from my brother while one was stinging him screaming. I clearly have issues. Me too! I was driving one day and a bee flew into my driver window. I zoomed the car over to the side of the road while waving my non-steering arm around. Put the car in park, and jumped out and ran several feet away from the car (leaving door open). Flailed about a bit - making sure the bee wasn't on me, then saw it fly away. Thank God I wasn't on a busy street. What if I had been on a freeway or something. Felt like such a dumb ass, but didn't want to get back in the car. Of course I had to, but was all hibbey-jibbied about it. Again - thankfully it wasn't a busy street.

I would've done the same thing, probably wouldn't have kept my cool even that well. :P I literally *have* to have air conditioning when I'm driving if it's hot outside/bee season as I would consider myself a public safety hazard otherwise!
July 17, 201511 yr I used to practically LIVE outside on the balcony!! well, the mornings anyway..... y'know? the 'coffee cigis' that ended up "just one more"? It's almost a mini 'lounge room' out there, with pens, emery boards, paper, mozzie spray etc etc lol!!! Now I can CHANGE everything out there.. maybe even put down some decent floor covering?....? and I used to kid myself, I didn't smoke THAT much! ha!

Of course I had to, but was all hibbey-jibbied about it. Again - thankfully it wasn't a busy street. My younger brother was always very allergic to insect bites - even a mosquito would give him painful raised hives. So one summer night as a teenager he comes home from riding his first motorcycle out on the highway, takes off his helmet, and exactly one half of his face is so puffed up and bloated that he looked like a damn alien - his eye on that side was a mere slit, while the other half looked pretty normal. I've never seen anything like it to this day. He'd been riding with his visor up, and a wasp got sucked into his helmet while he was full throttle and stung him just below the eye. Somehow he held it together, instead of screaming and taking his hands off the bars to slap at his helmet like I probably would have. I was pretty impressed.
July 18, 201511 yr I had a bee fly inside my shirt while riding. Bit me 5 times. Kept slapping my shirt when I felt a bite trying to smash it. Just made it bite me again... New confession. At work we throw our uniforms in a bag and dry cleaner picks them up and returns them to a big closet in the back room... with the bag hanging off the hanger and clothes in plastic. Big package of clothes with our names on them....Most guys take pants home and hang shirt in locker...and come in to work with boots and pants on, just got to dress by putting on vest, shirt and duty belt....Big bosses come fully dressed from home, they don't have locker and wont enter locker room unless they want to se latest joke someone is playing on another....SO I have been swapping two guys pants on the hanger occasionally. For months. ...They are two big bosses. Office Jockey paper pushers who are ok bosses but nit-pick too much at times.... Different sizes, short and round to shorter and rounder.....So I hear them in office the other day telling secretary to call dry cleaner to figure out how their pants keep getting mixed...they got different braiding down the side than rest of us (guess its impressive to them some how...) so secretary is explaining to them how this braiding is probably the reason and they are the only two with it...so probably reason and these mental giants are going for it...I want to tell others but don't want to give the idea out for them to do too....bosses are off today...guess what I am about to do...
July 19, 201511 yr You're a little crazy Bacon, but oh so funny! I need to tell my bee story. I was outside sweeping out our screened gazebo. Somehow a bee got down my shirt and inside my bra! Yes, the damn thing stung me! I was screaming and slapping myself. Yelled at hubby to help me, don't just stand there. Of course, he hasn't a clue as to what the hell is going on. I ripped off my shirt to get to the damn bra and get rid of the bee. I'm pretty sure my neighbor was in his backyard and got one hell of a show. I was too embarrassed to even look over towards their house. He's no doubt wondering why I'm not in an institution, lol. I threw my shirt back on, hung my head and made a mad dash for my back door.

Flying bugs suck! I have several stories, but the driving one was most 'dangerous." A bee got under my shirt and up my back and stung me. I didn't have to flash anyone, but a male friend did have to lift the back of my shirt to get the stinger out. I cried. :( It was right near my bra strap too - wtf?? Evil bees!
July 19, 201511 yr Prankster Bakon - messing with the bosses! Can't confess to them now. You're in too deep. lol:)
July 22, 201511 yr All these bee stories, you see why I think they have an evil plot to take over the world?? To be fair, it's actually not bees in that club but the hornets,yellow/black jackets, and wasps. (Unless we are talking about the gigantic killer bees, I mean it's in their name!) :P
July 22, 201511 yr All these bee stories, you see why I think they have an evil plot to take over the world?? WHO TOLD YO... I mean, lol, don't be silly!
July 23, 201511 yr I don't know who Kendall is , but I would love to be a rock star for a night! Singing my heart out to the massive crowd while they sing along with me! "So what! I'm just a rock star! I got my Rock Moves!!!" That's what I'm talkin about!! True confession. :)
August 3, 201511 yr Oh my, these are funny. Well I could take up about 3 pages of confessions but I will start with one that doesn't incriminate me too much! One year on Halloween my husband and I went to a party and dressed up in costumes. We both had a fair amount to drink. (Ok a lot). We got home from the party and were just laughing joking etc. The mister decided he wanted to get frisky and we were both in different states of undress when he said or did something that made me start laughing hysterically and I ran outside. Of course he was in hot pursuit, so there we are running through my neighborhood in the middle of the night. He was wearing pirate boots, a wig and some underwear. Lol. I'm still laughing thinking about it! I had on about the same. He caught me in the neighbors yard and we just fell down laughing and eventually made our way home. A few days later my elderly neighbor told me that I needed to be careful because there were druggies in the neighborhood running around in the middle of the night! I never told her it was me.
August 21, 201511 yr I finally am ready to forcing myself to accept the fact that I need to have my roots done every 6 weeks...this is a sad day indeed :( Off to find some ice cream....
