May 6, 20179 yr Here's one about addiction. I watched this one in the early part of my quit - even though it is not about cigs.,it's still a parallel line. https://youtu.be/OdpTcvSn8HQ

May 6, 20179 yr This is not only a great song but also a powerful portrayal of history in that part of the world; back in the day.
May 6, 20179 yr Here's another song about addiction from a really out there movie about addiction https://youtu.be/jQvUBf5l7Vw Does anyone else remember when Carnival Cruise Lines used that song in a commercial for family-friendly vacations? I found that a bit surreal. Sure...it's a song about heroin addiction, but it has a good beat and you can dance to it.

Do you remember when HP used the Violent Femmes song Blister in the Sun to sell their laptops? They had to know what that song was about. This is the only version I could find (but I didn't look very hard). https://youtu.be/smRt9V7mNG0
May 6, 20179 yr I think Ad / Marketing Agencies will use anything with a catchy beat or compelling melody to promote their goods. They figure most people won't have a clue as to where to song came from or it's meaning and, they're probably right.
May 7, 20179 yr Do you remember when HP used the Violent Femmes song Blister in the Sun to sell their laptops? They had to know what that song was about. Finally! A laptop for people with big hands. I think Ad / Marketing Agencies will use anything with a catchy beat or compelling melody to promote their goods. They figure most people won't have a clue as to where to song came from or it's meaning and, they're probably right. True. That's why so many people still think "Every Breath You Take" is a love song, even playing it at their wedding.
