April 13, 201412 yr Can anyone look up if Netflix has the series Dark angel? I think of taking Netflix but still hesitate I just checked - it doesn't currently, but they get new stuff all the time. They just got House MD and it seems to be constantly playing in our kitchen. It's a quiet rainy afternoon, good time for Ghost Adventures marathon.
April 19, 201412 yr Just watched the first ep of 'Revenge' at the gym. Heard it was amazing, and yes, so far so good.
May 5, 201412 yr Been watching House, and a handful of eps are real tearjerkers. Seems I'm always running for the tissue...yet in my personal life I never am. Just work and books/shows.
May 6, 201412 yr Love Netflix! I am (impatiently) waiting for Season 3 of American Horror Story. Does anyone happen to know if there is some kind of "coming soon" type guide or website for Netflix? We've only had it for a couple of months so it's still pretty new to me. American Horror Story season 3 wont be on Netflix till November. I use Amazon Prime same shows and lots more + free 2 day shipping on everything you buy and tons and tons of free books for your reader, also shows come out on it almost 2 months sooner. American Horror Stories will be on Amazon in Sept not November.

I use Amazon Prime same shows and lots more + free 2 day shipping on everything you buy and tons and tons of free books for your reader, also shows come out on it almost 2 months sooner. American Horror Stories will be on Amazon in Sept not November. Tons of books yet you only get to ''rent'' one per month, lol. Having the fast delivery pays itself off though.
May 9, 201412 yr Are you using the kindle users lending library? I borrow books from friends also,. Amazon prime is worth it to me to see the shows months sooner the free 2 day shipping and books are just the gravy on the mashed potatoes to me :)
May 9, 201412 yr I just checked - it doesn't currently, but they get new stuff all the time. They just got House MD and it seems to be constantly playing in our kitchen. It's a quiet rainy afternoon, good time for Ghost Adventures marathon. I love Aaron!! lol If you're ever in Savannah let me know they have a ton of ghost tours.

May 10, 201412 yr I've thought about getting it just to watch old tv shows. Even at $9 a month thats pretty cheap.
May 25, 201412 yr I've thought about getting it just to watch old tv shows. Even at $9 a month thats pretty cheap. It's the best deal out there, even if you don't watch a ton of tv you get your money's worth.I just watched the movie 'scenic route' on there. Creepy-ish, worth watching.
September 19, 201411 yr I'm getting the internet next wk & thru my son's game system either do Hula or whatever. Decided to do away with HBO etc. Sure I like movies but seeing "old" shows like Dark Shadows & Lost in Space would be a blast from the past & my kid said he'd get me a Blu-Ray player so I can watch stuff in my rm. Now I'm hoping when they upgrade computers here at work they give me a deal after all that was my big goal for quitting smoking to reward myself with a computer so I can overdose on You Tube videos.

I never have any problems viewing. We cancelled cable years ago. Lots of money for 16 Chanel's of. . . well, Pink Floyd fans will understand. Lol!
September 20, 201411 yr We've been watching Psyche for several months - a couple episodes here and there. It's great cuz it is something we can watch with the kids. Gonna check out House of Cards tonight.
September 20, 201411 yr Author Gonna check out House of Cards tonight. I checked it out one night because I was done binge watching "Breaking Bad" and after the first couple of episodes, I was hooked and before I knew it I was binge watching it. lol They film that about 15 minutes from my home in Maryland.
September 20, 201411 yr We have had a subscription to Netflix almost since the company was formed. Six months ago, we canceled our cable TV and added Amazon Prime streaming video, thereby saving ourselves $130/mo. Netflix was and continues to be great. It's easy to navigate their site, I like their rating system and "suggestions", the videos load quickly and run smoothly. I think it's a great value for the cost. Unfortunately, their library is not as good or as complete since Amazon started competing with Netflix to buy the rights to new films and TV program, but it's pretty good. I don't like Amazon and seldom use it. The biggest problem is that some of their videos are free with Prime and others (the vast majority) cost money to rent. It is very difficult to limit a search to "free" videos so you keep coming up with videos you would like to see only to get irritated when you discover that there's a $4 fee. Another thing Amazon does that pisses me off is to offer 1 or 2 seasons of a series for free and the rest are fee-based (at $3.00/episode-- give me a break!). So you get into a story arc and are left hanging. Their interface is crap, too, so it is hard to search, hard to find suggestions, hard to fast forward/back, etc. Just poorly designed all around. As others have said, Amazon Prime can be worth the expense just for their free shipping (which we use a lot). But their streaming video service is for the birds. More trouble and aggravation than it's worth. PS-- That being said, if you do have Amazon or want to try it out, check out the new Amazon Original Series called "Transparent". The pilot is available now and the rest of Season 1 will start next week as a full-season marathon.
September 20, 201411 yr I bought Game of Thrones through Amazon Prime. I agree that it is a little cumbersome. I couldn't get it to load on our TV one day (we have a Smart TV), but that may have been our sucky internet connection. Liked the first episode of HOC, MQ. It is not one to watch with our kids, but hub & I liked it. :) We are also watching One Upon a Time on Netflix. Another kid friendly one. It's pretty good. :)
September 21, 201411 yr Author HOC is definitely not something to watch with the kids, at least my little ones!lol This fall is going to rock with Netflix!! Woots! Oh, Petra, how is that Big Green Egg working for you and your husband? Did you end up getting an additional grill like you were talking about?
September 22, 201411 yr We haven't gotten a second grill, MQ, but need one. I do love The Green Egg, but it is an art. No flip a switch and grill for sure, but it really does make for some nice tasting meat - seriously everything we have ever made has been so tasty!!! However, we don't use it to it's full potential - it really is meant to be a slow cook smoker, but hub & I are not patient or skilled enough for that. Maintenance is kind of a pain too. Since it is charcoal, you have to clean up all the ashes for proper airflow every time - unlike a gas grill where you can just burn off the residue and deep clean on occasion. Plus, if you you want to quick grill something like zucchini, the Green Egg doesn't fire up quickly. I love grilled food though, so a basic gas grill is definitely on my shopping list. :) Thanks for asking. :) I saw your model at home depot - it's on my radar. :)
October 13, 201411 yr I have today: -read my awesome Dreg city book -took dogs on long walk and played with them many hours trying to tire them out -watched like 6 eps of parks and rec on Netflix w/Solange. I hate when weekends come to a close.
