Now im going to say something very inappropriate but here goes COME ON SWEDEN!! What i mean is i hope you keep your spirit and lets still get a good laugh!! Xx
July 7, 20188 yr Ugh jo, I was so hoping you'd be able to get in sooner for surgery so you could get off those nasty chemo pills ? And I'm sorry you had to give up your license. But like you say if they're willing to wait a couple months than they must have confidence in a complete recovery and excellent outcome. Again, we're here for you
July 7, 20188 yr arghh, Jo. Wishing you good days, good news. Hope you are able to appreciate some little things, the way the light falls on that leaf...the pattern it makes...the way it changes. The colour of the sky...the water. Hold on tight to all the things that bring you joy. We love you so much, Sally
July 7, 20188 yr Oh man ? You’re going to kick this cancers ass. Hopefully you can get control of the heart rate soon so you can get your license back.
July 8, 20188 yr G'day Jo What do you say? Cancer sucks, you can survive it but it's never a pleasant experience. You know I've had my own cancer journey so I can say this to you. The best thing I'd done was to give up smoking 6 months before dx Absolutly the best... as I was fit and healthy enough to heal and repair properly. So any thoughts of what the heck I may as well smoke, you've got twice the reason to stay quit. all my best Chris

Thanks Chris... hope all is still well with your battle. Very, very brief thought and then straight away after... (one of the voices in the head) are you insane, you can control if you smoke or not, only you control that not anyone else, not a doctor, or a blood test, or a reading on a monitor... you control that, its the one thing you do control and you want to give that up, for what 30 seconds of aah and that's it... that one first drag, don't be a dickhead.
July 8, 20188 yr ^^^ Absolutely This! When other things in life get out of control, it's even more important to have this one thing we CAN control 100% ourselves! That's the spirit Jo
July 8, 20188 yr Aww Jo... Finding the right words is kinda hard...when one our soldiers gets wounded...we all feel it... The end prognosis.. Although it's tough...is very good....to finally make a great recovery.... As for thinking for a nanosecond of having a smoke.. Two wrongs never make a right... You will recover from this with much more strength being smoke free to fight this dam thing.. Your army is all behind you...every step of the way .. Hugs sweetheart xxx

Reading someone's comments who has seen both sides of this situation made me stop and take pause. This is the reality of life and we don't really know that reality until we personally face it. Facing it takes courage no matter who we are.
September 20, 20187 yr Author Waiting.... its all about waiting.... I don't like waiting.... probably why I only had one kid that whole pregnancy waiting thing was just too much.... I feel like all I have been doing is waiting since Good Friday... it all started good friday... with the call to come in because there was something wrong with routine bloods... then the ultrasound and the tests... so its all a waiting game, wait for appointments, wait for tests, wait for test results, wait for approval to take a medication, wait for it to have a chance to work, wait for the tests to see if its working, wait for a new specialist because something isn't working, waiting, waiting, waiting.... just spent 6 hours at the hospital (outpatients cardiologist) and that was for a 9am appointment... why so long... well there was the wait to see the technician to remove the monitor, then there was the wait to see the doctor because of cause I reacted to the sticker things, then being sent to casualty to get raw patches of skin dressed... and I get to go back next week and wait some more. Funny story, went for my regular bloods the other day and the number next up to take on the door was 13... so I'm kinda a little bit superstitious and have left a restaurant because they wanted to put me on table 13 and I wouldn't sit there.... so anyway I wouldn't/couldn't take the number so I was waiting for someone else to come and take it so I could take the next one... and normally this would take a minute or 2... pretty popular clinic... NOPE not this day... I waited 32min for someone to come and take the #13 so I could take the #14... the phlebotomist (nurse who takes blood) served #13 then went on lunch for 30mins before coming back to take my blood... told you 13 was unlucky.
