  10. Welcome TEW.. It's great that you have been able to stay quit for as long as you have in the past... I am going to assume that you have read up on nicotine addiction. The only way to beat it, is to understand it. Your past quits have been long enough, that the nicotine was completely out of your system, and all the physical craves should have stopped by then also. It sounds like you may be "romancing the cigarette". If you haven't read "Allan Carrs the Easy Way" , I would recommend it.. It is available online, and, if you can't find it, let me know... I have it and can pm you the link. As you have noticed, there are a lot of great people on this forum, who are more than willing to help and support you when you need it. Use the resources here. Read everything you can to educate yourself, and if you EVER feel like you want to light a cigarette, please post in the S.O.S. Section... There is someone here all hours of the day and night, and some members have it linked to their phone so they are notified when someone needs help and can respond right away... Congrats on the 4 months that you already have! Please stick around here and do anything nessasary to protect that quit!

  12. Congrats Char! 1 month is an amazing goal to reach... The worst is behind you... You may still have some rough seas ahead, but you (and your quit) are so much stronger now that you can ride it out.. Well done!!

-8 Hey my ole friend Lucy dropped in.... Hi ya Lucy. :)
  14. Hmmm ...maybe that's why I've stayed quit... I'm a patient man...or so I've been told. :p
  15. See there. I bet on day 4 you remembered day 3.... In those early days of your quit, it was brutal!..I'm sure you thought you were going to die... And if not, maybe thought you already did .. ;) Fast forward a few weeks, and now you claim to not remember day 3.. Well, I hate to tell you, but you are not alone in this... Very few...if any of us remember the early days like we did when we lived them All of this was wrote to say.. This is proof that the quit REALLY DOES get better... Yes you will have tough days during month #3 .. You will have tough days the rest of your life... But... Don't blame them on your quit..your quit is why you have so many GOOD days. :). Everything gets better...not worse... You have been through the worst, and can't remember it, so how bad could anything else be?? Have a good day . :p

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
