  3. Congratulations Pippa!!! That is an amazing accomplishment!!! Wow!! 10 years!!! Amazing!! 👍😁😆
  4. Thank you Robin! You are doing amazing as well. Hey, we all started somewhere and we all had a "first quit day"! I remember when I was down to my last cigarette....I took the pack and gave it a kiss and said, "goodbye my old friend, I am going to miss you"! A non smoker would probably say that I'm crazy for kissing a cigarette box and talking to it, but I know all my ex-smoker friends on this board will totally understand. So that is why I'm not ashamed to say it, but I am so happy to be quit now!!! 😁

  6. Ohhh I'm so sorry to hear that Brioski!! That is just terrible. 😢 We are here for you all the time so just vent and cry!! Nope the smoking won't help and certainly won't bring that little boy back! Such a tragedy! 😢
  7. Thanks Brioski, I am feeling better today. The urges come and go very fast thankfully. You are doing great too!!!😃
  8. Yes, definitely a year of firsts....it's similar to losing an old friend because smoking was with us day in and day out for so many years. I'm glad I don't get the cravings all the time like I did the first couple of weeks! That was just horrible!! But, I'm hanging in there and plugging along, just like the little engine that could....HAHAHA!!!!😁
  9. Thanks! I don't get the urges as often anymore thank goodness! But once in a while they do sneak up on me and decide to attack....LOL!! I will definitely be hanging around this board! 😃
  10. Thanks Jill, I am definitely gonna stay close to all of you in the forum!! All of you are great people!! 😄 My first quit was so much easier because I used Chantix and it makes you forget to smoke. It's a 3 month program so I was taking those pills for 3 months, twice a day. The only bad side effect I had from Chantix was nausea in the morning. It lasted about 30 minutes so I would lay down and then it would pass. After about a month or so, it went away. This time I couldn't go on it, so I had to do the weaning method.
  11. Thanks Overcome!! I'm glad I am normal...LOL!!!🤣 Sometimes I wonder about me....Haha!!!! I know I'm only a little over a month quit but shouldn't I be more advanced, especially since I had quit before for 6 years.? And this is gonna be the last time I will quit...I'm done smoking!!!
  12. Sometimes I still want to have a smoke....is this normal? Am I normal? Yikes, maybe I'm not!!!🙄 When do the urges, even though they are not big urges, when do they finally go away? How many months, or will it be many years before I can finally say "I have no more urges anymore", and wake up in the morning and not even remember that I smoke? I can't wait for that day!!!!

  18. Thanks everyone!! I guess lots of us were home last night and we didn't smoke!!! Yay!!!!😄 I have noticed my meltdowns are much less frequent and definitely not as bad as the first couple of weeks.
  19. Hi everyone! I'm having a small meltdown, probably not a meltdown, just a small thing! I am not smoking...thankfully! Just a little bit of wanting to smoke, but I haven't had a cig since my quit date!! 😁 Just a small thing, I don't know what you would call it, but I haven't had a smoke!!! So Yay for me!!!!!😁 I am going to go watch TV on a Sat night!! So much for a Sat night! *Rolling my eyes* 🙄 Saturday night in NY City! 😬😣 Years ago, I would be out partying, but now I'm home with my husband watching TV, *sigh*. but at least I am NOT smoking!!!! I guess I'm getting older. 🙄 A lot older! 😄 Let's celebrate me not smoking! YAY!!!!
  20. Wow!!! Congratulations SP...you are doing so great!!! What an amazing accomplishment!!!
