  1. Congratulations Doreen on your 12 years quit! What an amazing accomplishment! You are such an inspiration to all of us on the Train, and we are all so proud of you! Since I have become your co-moderator, I have gotten to know you so much better, and I am so happy to call you my friend! You are a wonderful person and a definite asset to this site! In those early days of my quit when I was complaining and so irritable....LOL!!, you helped me so much when I thought I wouldn't be able to stay focused. In addition to helping me, you have helped countless others on this site with your words of wisdom, compassion, understanding and fantastic sense of humor! Congratulations again! All the best! P.S. I know your quit date is tomorrow, but I wanted to make sure you saw this either late tonight/early tomorrow morning UK time.
  2. NOPE!! Dave, what part of Australia is that taken in....it looks so nice with all the boats and the sunset!
  3. Congratulations Jane on your 4 months smoke free! You are doing great and should be very proud of yourself! Treat yourself today! Enjoy!
  4. You are doing really great @Benny smokeout And as @Reciprocity said the first few weeks are the most difficult but as the time goes own the withdrawal becomes less and less. Keep coming on here and real all the info, do the daily Nope pledge and if you need support, we are all here! You can do it!!

  7. Hi @VeeVee Welcome to the Train. Yes, I found it difficult in the 4th month. The first year is the hardest IMO. Visit this site very often and read as much of the info as you can. It does get easier. Take it one day at a time, if you have to but being quit for 4 months is great! Good luck and I look forward to seeing you on here again.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
