  1. This is one train ride I thoroughly enjoy being a passenger on. Thanks and happy 8 year anniversary
  2. Congratulations Yoda. Very impressive quit.
  3. Well done Justin. I will be watching for you on the celebration thread. You are doing so great.
  4. Oh how I will just enjoy opening up my windows and breathing in some clean fresh air. And I must add that I will be able to really breath much easier and actually be able to smell those roses this time around

Great post and oh so true. Like spring is the new beginning of freedom. I can think of this season as the blossoming of my forever quit.
  6. Congratulations on 5 years. That's awesome
  7. Sorry I have been MIA but my phone etc had been hacked. What a mess. Hopefully all has been taken care of and all is good. I remain smoke free and will be playing catch up now. Have a ton of messages to read through. Thank you all for your concern. You can't get rid of me lol.
  8. Hi Nana and welcome. So sorry you lost a quit. I can't offer much advice as I am new here. Glad you are starting over with a new quit. Stay strong. You can do this.
  9. I love this post. So informative. I read about the all meat diet some time ago. Never knew anyone who was doing it. I do have joint pain mostly in my knees. I don't have digestive issues but am putting on some weight already. Did you gain alot of weight since you quit? Knowing that you are still having some sleep issues and cravings yet is good for us newbies to know. Let's us know that even that far down the road there is still plenty of work to do in mastering this addiction. Thanks for the update.
  10. Just wanted to say welcome and what a great intro. Congrats on 17 days quit. I can't offer much advice as I am new and still learning how to cope with the whole quitting process. So glad you found us.
  11. This is great to hear Kdad. Glad you have found something that is working for you. Stay strong
  12. Sorry you had a set back but so glad you are back. Read old posts and learn from what others tell you. I have picked up bits and pieces of advice from so many people here who know what we are going through. Jillars peppermint puffs keeps my mouth occupied, Doreen's qi gong keeps me moving, Yoda and a daily morning walk, and Kel and Kris with all their advice have helped me to build a solid quit, just to name a few. I still read Alan Carr almost every day. Deep breathing does wonders. I have learned over the past few weeks that triggers are going to happen and the craves are coming whether we like it or not. I know you can do this. So happy to see you back and so determined.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
