Going to a winery is always fun. I have memberships to several. With a membership, you get unlimited free tastings for yourself and as many as 3 friends, and a significant discount off retail, for their wines. My favorite one to visit, in the area, is Coppola Winery, owned by Francis Ford Coppola, the famous Hollywood film maker. All of his Oscars are displayed there, along with props from his films, including the desk from The Godfather, the car from Tucker, costumes from Dracula, original film posters from Apocalypse Now, etc. And the property, itself, is just breathtaking. There are Swimming pools you can use, complete with cabanas. Being Italian, Francis put in a Bocce Ball Court, as well. He also has a very decent restaurant in the main building. Naturally, I haven’t been there since COVID, but I look forward to a return visit, perhaps later this Summer.

  12. I wasn’t implying they were the only reason but they are the environmental cause, Our culture highly emphasizes that being thin is ideal. It is this environmental factor that we can change. The other factors are psychological and genetic. Some girls are perfectionists , and so become anorexic. Others have a need for control, and eating very little is a way they exercise that control. They may have inherited these psychological traits from a parent. The bottom line is that those who suffer from Anorexia require psychiatric treatment. My point is that the fashion industry could possibly help prevent some girls from becoming anorexic, by showing that it’s perfectly OK to be an average sized female, rather than perpetuating the myth that “you can never be too thin!”
  13. To me, steak and shrimp. I live in CA, and I get real tired of Mexican food. I will have popcorn chicken with tater tots from Sonic. Not the healthiest choice, but it tastes good to me.

Well, I guess I will just play with what we have, so, mine will start with L lasagne
  15. Unfortunately, Anorexia is a serious mental disorder. In a bid to look perfect, and have their idea of the ideal female body, young women literally starve themselves, and yes, some die from the disorder. Until advertisers stop using only super thin models to sell their products, Anorexia will remain a problem. Advertisers should play to the REAL general public. The reality is that most of us are not rail thin, but rather average, or even above average, in size. The average dress size for an American woman is 12-14, yet the models who advertise the clothes we wear are no bigger than a size 6. That’s just wrong!

  17. Just finished my first 20 minute cardio walk of the day. My resting pulse rate is 64. When finished my walk, it is exactly double, or 128, which is exactly what a target heart rate should be for a 70 year old. When I started my routine walks, several weeks ago, my heart rate would be about 15 bpm higher, when done. This tells me, I am getting in better condition, and strengthening my heart. This is good for me, as I do have heart issues. Fear not, though, friends. My cardiologist has ok’d my workout routine. I actually checked with him, before starting. Those of us who are older, or those who have any chronic medical conditions, should always check with our physicians, before beginning a workout routine, especially since we are ex-smokers. Nurse KAT
  18. NOPE! NOT TODAY!
  19. Start slow, but not until you feel better physically. You should be resting, when under the weather. When you do feel up to it, take a leisurely walk around the black the first day. Pace yourself, then gradually increase your activity level .I am doing 2 20 minute cardio power walks every day. Sometimes I dread it, but then tell myself, I can withstand anything for 20: minutes, and make myself do it. You’ll get back in the swing of it.

Have the rules changed? @Mac#23’s answer should have started with an A, and based on the answer he did give, @PeachFuzz’s answer should have started with a P, so I’m confused.
