  1. Hmm, I think I’m still in a fog. Recently couldn’t concentrate at all! ? in the first weeks of the quit i suffered from insomnia and this contributed to my state of mind(lessness) perhaps even more than lack of smoke.
  2. Congratulations! 4 months is a serious quit but I agree, it’s a dangerous moment, everybody, the quitter included, doesn’t expect craves and last triggers to kick in. However, you both are doing great and you both know the rules of addiction and getting rid of it. You’ll be on the lido deck sooner than you think!
  3. Congratulations on the milestone! You should be proud of yourself for beating all the craves and being stronger than the triggers. You’re doing great!
  4. Huge congratulations! Awesome! Amazing!
  5. Thank you! You make this quit stronger and I owe you so much!
  6. That’s simply amazing! Congratulations, celebrate!
  7. Awesome achievement!
  8. Congratulations! Big thing
  9. Huge congratulations!
  10. You have such a clear mind so early in the quit, LML, that I have no doubt you’ll achieve the goal. Since I quit I’ve truly enjoyed reading about neuroscience and how does mine work, it truly helps to keep the quit when you know where are the thoughts coming from.
  11. Congratulations, you have just beaten and deprogrammed one of the triggers. Getting gas will not cause domino of thoughts anymore. Cherish the quit, it’s great!
  12. Congratulations DV, you’re extremely strong. I’m sorry you experienced on your own skin that quits are very fragile things and suffered those unpleasantnesses. But with the way you rock you emerged even stronger. Celebrate the big milestone, you deserve it!
  13. Thank you! It seems so surreal. What triggered this quit was so trivial and here I am, smoke free and determined not to take one puff ever. So much has changed and happened since then and I’m truly living new life. Thank you for being here for me and I hope to be able to pay it forward!
  14. Big congratulations on this important milestone!
  15. Big congratulations! Amazing job’
  16. Great job, great quit!
  17. Congratulations on the great achievement!!!
  18. Great quit, congratulations!
  19. Congratulations!!!
  20. You have a great mindset. You understand the addiction, the paradox of not wanting to smoke but wanting a cigarette and you’re determined. You’ll do it! Soon the worst will be over.
  21. I agree, the “trying to” part suggests permission to slip. Even if it’s on a subconscious level, it leaves the door open. Now when I think about it, I said so in my earliest quits that usually didn’t last longer than two days. Wonder why. Not. ?
  22. That’s awesome! Great job!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
