I would like to tell,you where I'm at today....life long smoker....who thought she would die a smoker.... I feel wonderful.....not sluggish when I wake up....in my smoking days I would slide out of bed....drink coffee...smoke...smoke... My breakfast time is so different now....I have a proper breakfast.... I have so much more energy.....so much more interest...oh I am a different person.....I love it.... Allen Carr talks about the black shadows ....I can so relate to that..... When that light bulb....gets turned on....you can see much clearer....and it shines.... Keep marchin... Hugx xxx

oh DD...is so right on the button here....reading jackies relapse was heart breakin...The second you lit that dam thing....you would feel devasted...and wonder why the hell you needed it.... Your ridding yourself off a poison ...which is slowly killing you.... DF I don't know if you know my hubby has to have oxygen 16 hours of every day.....if it doesn't kill you first.... There is nothing to romance .... You are the smart one......you keep your quit sweetheart....and love it.... Xxxxx

Hi DF.... I can relate to all you are saying.....I smoked 52 years....I had to make a decision quit or amputation..... My body and my brain went nuclear..... People told me also it would get better.....I white knuckled it for a good few months..... I would have real good chats with myself...... I know why I feel like this......I'm detoxing my self.....it takes time..... After smoking a lot of years....it's going to take time and patience..... Everyone Is different....we all heal at different times......but the main thing is it does heal..... Don't look anyone else....your quit is your quit..... Don't over think,don't look too far ahead....one day at a time..... I can promise you the miracle will happen.....because it happened to me..... Your doing just fine.....feel very proud... Hugs xx

Wow stu...a powerful post....a brilliant post....love ya buddy.... I had smoked that long....nearly my whole life.....in total denial....head well in the sand.... It was Allen Carr.....who made me actually question all what I thought about smoking....take a long look at myself..... Well that and one whopper of a health scare....the outcome unthinkable.... I have always said ....all,roads lead to Rome.....it doesn't matter how you quit....just please quit..... I think this is why vaping is still,a scarey thing for me...it's still taking something in to your lungs.... Once you really see what smoking is...in every sense....people just making money killing other people... You will keep the quit.and protect it with all your strength..... There is nothing to romance..... My only expertise on this subject too ....is seeing first hand what emphysema does to a person....there is no going back then.... My best to all Xxx

Hi geri....sorry I'm late here.... Your now on day three.....your body will soon be rid of all the crap...that's in cigs.... The craves can be a pain....but every time you fight it...your getting nearer to your goal.... Most of us here ...have been where you are...and I've read some funny ways of dealing with the craves... But they all work..... I stayed with the board nearly 24 hours of every day...reading till my eyes bled.... Screaming n.o.p.e at the top of my voice....listening to music on a I pod....the loudest it would go ...deafening myself.... You will find your own way...it will work.....turn your negative thoughts into positive ones... What you are achieving is pretty dam amazin.... Post here often.... Xxxxx
