  6. Yes! Don't listen to him. He knows nothing about quitting is my guess. Some people just look at the negative side of everything. If he's a smoker, I'm betting he wants to quit too and is jealous that you are brave enough to do it before he does.. You are taking a positive step - not a negative one. Let him be the one to eat crow at the end of the day

  8. Good for you Dizzy! Keep it going. Gritted teeth are fine. If you need to vent, come here and unload both barrels - we can take it

  10. 12 Don't worry G; almost D's bedtime
  11. ^^^ This! Exchange emails with peeps you truly would not want to lose - just in case? But, as many here have said MQ is the driver with help from Rixcz. They are both to be commended for their contributions to countless quits. Without them, who knows if some of us would not have made it. I, and I'm sure many others, would be happy to make financial contributions to keep this place alive if that was ever an issue. This place is such a integral part of so many people's success. You can't put a dollar sing on that.

  14. OK, OK ..... here's the story. I had twin sisters and when I was a kid, my Mom used to have names for male and female private parts (down below). Male part was a "weenie" and female was a "betweenie", which I thought was a weird name. Never heard it since and haven't even thought of that in decades; until this thread came along - Lol. Anyway; thanks for the mammaries .... oops memories
  15. Congrats Beazel on being 2 years smoke free today! Hope you celebrate by treating yourself to something special. By the way. Haven't seen you in awhile. Where you hiding at?

  17. I'm sure that's a huge load off your mind. Good job weathering the uncertainty over your job situation without smoking Huge step forward when you KNOW you can handle a situation like that.

  19. So there you have it Kall. There are many road that lead to Rome (so to speak). Must haves from my perspective are: a steadfast commitment to yourself starting the day you quit, information about nicotine addiction (lots of that here) and a support system to help you along your journey, which exists here among a community of quitters. This place is custom built to help people who truly want to quit smoking. All you or anyone needs to supply is the commitment and doing the actual work of quitting.

  21. Congrats on 5 months smoke free IGT! On your way to a half year already
  22. Congrats on 5 months IGT! Keep it going. Thoughts of smoking are not actions and actions are what count. Stay the course.
  23. Possibly part of the update last week? I'm not very observant of that sort of stuff but now that I look at it I think you may be correct there - more smoke or at least an enhancement of the image?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
