  6. Hi J! A party!! Who doesn't love a party?? Get an index card..on it...write 1. There is no such thing as 1 cigarette 2. non smokers enjoy social events and I am 1 of them 3. NOPE 4. 1 Puff and all my efforts are destroyed 5. Life is good!! If there are smokers there at the party...do what I did. Take it as an opportunity to observe them. Watch them get fidgety...watch them look around for a fellow partner in crime they can sneak out and smoke with....watch the relief on their face when they find one. Watch them come back inside and in 20 minutes...watch the process all over again. and again...and again. Remember: Smokers don't "get to smoke" they "have to smoke" to give them some temporary relief from their addiction. But it comes back....again and again and again. Enjoy the party!! You are a non smoker!!
  7. go through your facebook friends list and UNFOLLOW all the negativity....problem solved. You are still friends but just not following them so they don't end up on newsfeeds. They won't know you unfollowed. PLUS...you always have the quit train I am right there with you regarding politics. I was better off ignorantly blissful. lol

  9. Bakon! You crack me up!
  10. Lol. You are a trip bakon. What an imagination. I love it!! Love your stories and in all of them....we are always smoke free.
  11. I am almost 49 now...and happier than I have ever been! Loving my freedom! NO MORE EXCUSES!!
  12. I got a salt lamp for Christmas. Not sure if it's just a gimmick. Probably. Lol. But it does make me feel good. Just cause it's there. Nope to snacking too....had too many cocktails and cheat meals. Back to the grind. Need to get out of the back seat for a while.
  13. This is currently my favorite show and quite possibly my favorite of all time. Well written.
  14. No freakin' way!\ NOPE!!!
  15. I was laying in bed...supposed to be asleep but I had my little boom box radio on and was listening to the local radio station. I remember being annoyed when my favorite song was interrupted for a special announcement. But then...I remember crying after what I heard. Couldn't sleep that night for nothing. I wasn't a huge fan at the time but the Beatles and John Lennon were instrumental part of my childhood anyway. Tragic. I was 12.
  16. happy birthday to your girls!! always our babies
  17. Besides the obvious gifts...love, family, health, benefits of quitting smoking...we already know you are grateful for those things that money can't buy. This topic is about a gift that was so well thought out and a complete surprise to you that you received on Christmas day. Yes..I am referring to a gift money DOES buy but it didn't really have to cost a lot to be your most favorite gift. My dad surprised me with tickets to go with him on a cruise with my sisters and our spouses in 1998. It was a trip that I will never forget and a complete surprise to us all. He is passed on now so that's what makes it ever more special. I hope to do the same for my kids too.
  18. I am glad you quit too, Evelyn. That's a tough thing to go through. Hugs to you!
  19. Tiffany is still smoke free. I speak to her. She doesn't feel at this time that being here is in her best interest but she is smoke free and that is what is most important. She also thanks the Quit Train for all the support from you wonderful members.

I used them for a while. They are nice. Now I'm into using my diffuser with essential oils lately. Love it
