The 'long' email is only for you Bakon. I am paid by the government to kill your brain cells. Anyone else gets a nice one... Some fun ones coming soon. No golf (I'm injured) ;-)
  10. Kendra. Love your poetry. There is some talent in there lady. I think that you have identified that the issues you are facing are not smoking related. So don't smoke. Bakon is right, stupid to quit near the top of the mountain. Week or two and you will be Julie Andrews, gamboling in the Alpine meadows. Keep going.
  11. Okey dokey Jess. Reset the meter, lets get back to this. When is Day 1? We are all here to help.
  12. Hey Michelle. You are doing a great thing. Well done. Quitting smoking is ALWAYS the best course. There is absolutely no circumstance ever where having a cigarette is good. Not one. Ever. Hoping that the Doc goes well for you. You are doing a great thing. Great work!
  13. Tough times. Not because of cigarettes, but because the tough things are asking you to face strong emotional experiences without your traditional coping crutch. You can beat this TEW. The cravings are illusions, grief in a dangerous coat. You are strong. You won't smoke.
  14. Hey Rowly. Great to see you. Don't sweat it. Yes, you and me are a puff away from a pack a day. Once you get into the swing of this quitting thing, there is no trigger bigger than an anniversary. Natural that you crave now. You don't really want a smoke, it is just a deeply ingrained reaction. I had it too. Grit your teeth, smile and thank your addiction for this timely reminder that this is a sneaky son of a bitch addiction. You got this Rowly. No problem.
  15. Nice work Michelle. The odd crave does come back to surprise you. Each time you ignore it, it gets weaker.
  16. Hey Warrior Not easy today, huh. You do not want to smoke. You want to breathe, to relax. You want to say "I don't smoke" Go on say it. You are doing great Warrior. The crave will pass. I promise.
  17. Fantastic work.
  18. You accept that people are people and you are you. I was an addict. I did lots of lying. So did you. Be true to yourself Marti. Smile. Don't judge. Did I mention that you quit smoking? You are awesome.
  19. Redser and Bat back in harness? Good stuff. I need to get my head down and finish a first draft of my novel. Its one of those things that just needs me to focus and finish. Right now - there are too many demands on my time, so i won't be posting quite as much here. You can always find me on my website or my Facebook page, and I daresay I'll be back soon enough! KTQ
