  13. Well ... you certainly did go beyond the gates of hell exposing yourself to a 5.0% level of nicotine This is the issue I always had with vaping. People convincing themselves that vaping was safe because of the lack of chemical additives in tobacco that's in cigs. Yeah but they never talk about the availability of much higher levels of nicotine that vapers can pump into their bodies & brains. Vaping has created a whole new breed of addicts "Super Nico Addicts"! Good on you that you weaned off that crazy level of nicotine slowly in steps otherwise you likely never would have made it back to the land of non-smokers. Keep it up @stzr500! You NEVER wanna go back there again and thanks for the warning about Vape & Nico Levels!!

  15. Well it's about 2 months and feeling better. Been down this road before but this time with a vape instead of smoking. I did it for 2 years but 2 years to many. I just want to throw something out there, a question if I an nuts or just what is going on. Since my newly and last quit seriously, I have had days of memories I have not thought of in over years, some memories I totally forgot about my entire life and bam, it hits me. I feel like I just dusted off the hard drive in my head again. I will admit it's flashbacks of my life give or take but not all are pleasant dug up memories. Very strange thing if you ask me. Also onto something real quick. Anyone here using a vape or trying to quit who used a vape, mainly Vuse or other devices that have 5.0%. I strongly recommend stepping down if you are quitting. Cold turkey from a 5.0 % is 50mg of straight up nicotine. The highest you can get which is what I was using then stepped down to a 2.4%, which is still ridiculously high. When I smoked I smoked ultra lights until I quit those. Anyway about the vaping, straight up nicotine without any of the ungodly about of other chemicals. Withdraw and cravings were beyond the gates of hell. I am not joking on that. I shocked my system so bad I went into this thing called derealization which scared the life out of me and lead to panic attacks. I am two months in and finally gradually staying landed for most of the day. My sleep was horrible, depression was was so bad that I honestly have learned my lesson. I will not pick up nicotine again the withdraw truly does scare me that much that I am afraid of it. Anyway enough of my rant. God bless to all who threw the crutch away !! Believe in yourself, you can do this. Those who are on the fence, dive in both feet and hang on. Just remember the good Lord always promised he is with you, never said he wouldn't let bad things happen but he is always by your side !!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
