  2. @Genecanuck you are only responsible for you, not your partner too. Maybe in time, he will quit also, but right now you have to focus on you and only you in your quit journey. I know you can do it, but if you ever get into a situation where you may light up again, please come on here and post in the SOS section. Someone is usually around and can definitely help you!! We all want you to succeed! You can do it Gene!!

  11. Good morning, I can never allow myself to use and/or blame my partner for my smoking. He may always smoke and that is not about me..... and reminding myself that just because I made a mistake does not mean I am a mistake. I am trying to re-orient my addict brain to avoid giving myself any excuses to smoke and that includes not allowing myself to go on some pitty party that becomes a justification to smoke. I am not smoking today.
  12. Good morning eveyrone, I will have to stick close to Quittrain and re-read everything I can to get it into my thick skull that smoking is never a cure for anything. I want to get off the relapse train and stay on the Quittrain.... my biggest challenge is that I need to STOP romancing the smoke, not just in the diffuclt times in my life but when I am having fun... YES... that junkie thinking that says that when I am enjoying myself, somewhow smoking will make things better..... Feeling the need to say the serenity prayer today... God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the differece. I

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
