Welcome to QuitTrain, geetarsteve.  I had many on and off again quits too so I know where you are coming from.

Educate yourself as much as you can about nicotine addiction and keep participating on this board.  These things can really help you stay quit for good.

Welcome Steve. I relapsed quite a lot too. The last time I quit (over 4 months ago) I had another intense withdrawal and I said to myself, I am never doing this to myself again. The constant withdrawal and then smoking again meant my body and brain was out of kilter for much longer than it needed to be.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
