September 11, 20179 yr For three+ years they've cried "gallstones"... but minor and not enough that anyone would recommend surgery... and .... yet... symptoms escalate. At the HIDA Scan to investigate further on Gallbladder Function last week the Nice Tech Lady asked while performing the scan "Have you ever had... Cancer... ? " WTF kinda question is that in the middle of a $1,000 scan for undiagnosed abdominal/chest/back pain (it's generally floating in an area that covers all those) ? Seriously : Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot, Over. HIDA scan will likely be inconclusive. Full After Action Report due back this week after The Radiologist has a look-see at the viddie and image files beamed to his desktop. If inconclusive, Full Bore CT Scan soon to follow... We're getting so damned old we're falling apart. As far as anybody in The Real World knows, it's Gallbladder issues. Sarge is pretty sure it's not and thinks... otherwise. Tune in for next week's exciting episode of "Guess What Sarge's Nagging Pain Is" Same Sarge Time. Same Sarge Channel. *** Sarge ain't lookin' for your sympathy. He just wants to get an update through to some folks he can't get to through other communication channels. September 11, 20179 yr The doctors here had a good idea of what was going on.,but needed to check to make sure thier diagnosis was correct.. I had a good over all..because chest pain was involved ,that had to make sure it wasn't a heart attack.. I didn't have abdominal pain..just 10 out of 10 pains in the chest..and vomiting... Hope you get sorted soon sarge...I couldn't imagine being in that pain for years..no way.. I will keep you posted on the outcome of this.

I am never overly confident with these damn doctors past spring did two CT scans with Contrast and MRI colonoscopy allot of money later and un conclusive other than constipation! I almost want to laugh but it isn't really funny. When you have any type of abdominal pain they first start with gallbladder and work from there...... Hope they get to the bottom of it.
September 15, 20178 yr Author So it's not The Gall Bladder. "Essentially unremarkable nuclear medicine hepatobiliary scan with calculated gallbladder ejection fraction of 98% as described above." "Prompt, homogenous uptake by the liver is noted with normal appearance of radiotracer excretion into the biliary system. Clearance of blood pool activity appears appropriate." ** My single gallstone and polyp have left me with a 98% functioning Gall Bladder where everything "appears appropriate". Not bad for a Dude pushing 50. Sooooo ... that means ... <cue ominous and overly dramatic music> ... it's "Something Else" .... I would rather it have been the Gall Bladder. All the Something Elses in that area are Not Good. Next up: Back to the Doc again. I'm sure it'll be the ol' double CT Scan. Once with contrast. (Drink the Radiation Juice, please.) Once without. The lifetime accumulated radiation exposure ticks up another notch or two. Watch this space for updates ...
