April 16, 201610 yr I'm technology challenged so I can never get my ticker to work correctly. Anyway, I'm almost 3.5 months quit. I'm FINALLY feeling like I really CAN do this. I have to be honest, up until 2 weeks ago I seriously considered throwing the towel in every day. I was cranky and still having craves. I was driving my family crazy with how irritable I was. I even considered buying a pack and sneaking some (hubs is really solid in his quit and I think he would be really upset with me if I relapsed now). Somehow I hung in there. I'm not sure exactly what changed, but over the last 2 weeks I've not had any craves. I haven't even thought about it much. I'm so thankful I held in there. I think a lot of my success was bc of this group. I don't post often but I try to jump on every few days and read. Seeing the long term quitters helped me hang in there. So, thank you from the bottom of my healing lungs. ;)
April 16, 201610 yr Hi I Can , the easy thing is to smoke , the only way to become a non smoker is not to smoke . 3.5 Months is a totally amazing feat , you have done it , just don't ever undo it by breaking the NOPE rule , our stupid brain will let the addiction take over with spades . Awesome work , I am going to get to 3.5 in a few months
April 16, 201610 yr So happy for you, Can! You absolutely can do this. One day at a time, and before you know it, you won't think of smoking.
April 16, 201610 yr Good for you! Persistance above all, and never taking a puff. Slowly the urges fade and you feel better. I am happy for you! :)
